ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

TB, if you can't see the difference between CBs and DMs in our system, then it's you that needs to watch the game.
I get it's a transitional game and it's a bit hard to do that on a white board at 32 frames a second.
cheers when your up to speed

Getting back on topic, but Sainsbury has been going on about on-loan QPR player Adel Taarabt on his twitter today. Could there be something brewing there or am i just getting too excited about being back on twitter for the first time six months?

Masherano/Busquets play as CB for Barca because Barcelona is about fifty times strong than any other team in La Liga sans Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Every other team is pushing so far back that Barcelona's high line isn't stressed, and the Barcelona's had a weakness due to their lack of big man in set piece situations. If our team was so good we could play a super high line because every team plays for a draw against us, we'd be able to get away with having ball playing DMs at CB too.
So with that logic you could play say Xavi or Fabregas as a CB because the team is that good and they never have to do any defensive work? That would be a very interesting game of football with them back there.

And yes back on topic, no to Taarabat. Sainsbury has clearly watched too much Championship highlights programs over the years. Only time you ever see him do anything

AC Milan's official television channel has reported that the club are in negotiations to take Adel Taarabt from Fulham.

Great - its looks like Milan are looking at him too - and so the bidding war begins ;)

Once again, I start this post by acknowledging that I know nothing of these matters and am only learning and also, that I hate to potentially throw a spanner in the works but...
According to Wikipedia, the Australian transfer window goes to the 15th of Feb, Japan is technically in their between-season-window, so theirs goes till the second of April and there are European countries which have windows running both to the second of Feb and the 31st of March, so there's still time for fingernail biting ;) - if Wikipedia is right that is.

Perhaps true but the names for the ACL squads need to be submitted shortly and we are looking thin on the ground.

Slightly worrying if we plan to hit ACL with a squad with so little depth.
I really don't think we can or should be planning on throwing alot of youth boys out into the lions den of Asia this time around. Youth team has been very poor this season.

Hopefully the club has been very tight lipped and do have a few signings lined up...... hopefully

$250,000 for a 37 year old? I don't think so.

He'll be staying put. Fair enough, thats the amount we'll need to fill the gaping whole in the team without anyone to play as a #10, but still.

I think we are moving towards a phantom No. 10 :(
