ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I've been on here on and off for maybe 4 years all up but really only got regularly active since last season. Have to say that this season in particular, from about game 3 onwards at least, I've been pleased and enjoying the positive, respectful, mature, balanced and insightful comments from all. There's been disagreement as any good forum should have, as well as some great creativity, and overall credit to all I feel

Apparently Redmayne has a clause in his contract that if he doesn't play a certain number of first team games he can opt out of the second year of his contract - probably why Aloisi is playing him at the moment instead of Bolton.

With Ollie as the only local in the squad what are peoples thoughts on Redders, Joey Gibbs and Reece Caira ( he is on a 2 year contract - but getting little game time at WSW). Redders is still only 24 and the other two are 20.

On Redmayne I leave it to John Crawley to assess if he is better than Pasfield; Redders as No 2 might be considered if Bradasevic or some other youngster isn't good enough.
Joes Gibbs is getting game time so WSW may be happy to keep him.
Reece Caira would have only made our NYL this year; the fact he is getting little game time with WSW probably means that is his level right now. I can't see him being offered a first team contract at the Mariners.
Of course, the Coastie I want back as he doesn't seemed to be playing at all is Matt Simon :innocent:

I rate Reece and I'm sure he will prove himself in time.

Gibbs is decent. But I rate Duke, and Fitzgerald for that matter, more highly.

Redders, I see Pasfield as clearly in front of him and haven't been overly impressed by him. I assumed Bolton was injured.

I recall Gibbs having a great game against the CC Select team. Scored 1 or maybe 2 goals. Not long after he signed for WSW and I was very disappointed.

I agree with all of this.

On the people not in here anymore I think that they do stop in a couple times a month. I used to try to get involved in the banter but as a 15-17 year old I wrote things like "tht game was g8" or what ever now being 21 I see how annoying that is but I was young and stupid an didn't want to type normally (basicly using grammar & correct spelling). Plus I think the death of forums was Facebook I have A forum dedicated to football manager (awesome game!!!!!) and we have pretty much moved our whole site on to there heaps easier but not as nice and every kids a troll now a days. Any way I still pop in see what going on quite reguarly actually but I never feel the need to write in here. I dunno why but yer just my thoughts.

Was going to just click 'like' but this is exactly my story too. Joined inheaps between ages 15-18 (oh the proboards days) then decided to pull my finger out in Year 12 at school then worked so I could travel overseas for 6 months last year. But I still check in every now and then and I would still rather chat about the mariners on here than twitter or facebook any day.

But back on topic, I think Fitzgerald will be a great addition. Especially if he's the direct "attacking utility" replacement for pellers. Could Fitzy play out wide right and mcglinch move into no.10 role for next season?

I no Mcbreen is playing awesome ATM but what bout van dyk and push Mcbreen into CAM he play's really well thats only if Rogic leaves.

Villa wouldn't have fought so hard to get Reece if he wasn't so talented which begs the questions why release him ?? From what I've seen in his runs for WSW and YL he is quality but I don't see him bein anything more than a squaddy for us at the moment.

100% on Redders to come back if we lose Matty ! Would love it !

Is there any other murmurs of players joining us ?? Like the Fitzgerald homecoming - need a big solid striker to cover Mcbreen dropping back if Tommy goes.

I don't have any confidence in redmayne :s only because the when I think of him I think about the Adelaide game when he had a shocker of a game came way to far out from a corner

"It’s also understood the Sky Blues have inquired about Central Coast’s veteran Dutch defender Patrick Zwaanswijk."
