ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

MarinerMick has hinted at it on Twitter

I remember when MM used to post on this forum which is full of hard core Mariners fans, desperate for any morsel of CCM related info. Oh well, I'll add him to the list of deserters :)

Back on topic... I just heard on Fox Sports that now QPR are interested in Tommy, Apparently Harry Redknapp was keen on him when at Spurs. Now the timing (for Harry) is better.

Don't be too hard on him. He may have deserted the forum - but he certainly still wears his heart on his sleeve for the Mariners. :)

I'm just lamenting the fact that so many creditable people have left this place. If I could just understand why some Mariners fans prefer to post on the Sydney forum and not ours then I'd be happy.

Brett got pretty bored of the same old, same old. Now writing for the Leopold Method as well as BehindTheGoals and Fantasy HAL.

Mick, not sure, he left a little while after I got jack of the place being like a funeral parlour even after we won the league last year and took my hiatus.

Ursus, Dave, Bear - no idea.

Mick's reason for not being here is well documented on this site unless it's been removed. search for it if you must but it wasn't pretty. Mick's info had a lot to do with the place being like a funeral parlour debates on the validity of his info turned into arguments. he pretty much left for being shot as the messenger if my memory serves me correctly. must confess I fired a few of those bullets. not specifically at him but at those who were really death riding the club during a hard time. funny thing is most of what he said would happen never did no matter how close it came.

sure do miss his input.

Omni, DJ, Fish, Rowdy Roddy, Sacko?

All great names of the past.
Omni went to Texas, Fish is on twitter a bit (though I don't follow him), Deej is around on FB, don't know about the others.

Twitter and FB provide a space that wasn't there back in the days of proboards, so a lot of people are getting their fix that way.

I follow Fish on Twitter and he has plenty of interesting stuff to say on there.

Mick's disappearance around that time being related to being shot as the messenger was supposition but seemed to fit. A lot of those accused of death riding were trying to point out how dire was the future of the club. A bullet was dodged by selling players and advance memberships.

Probably not much different this year.

Will be more relaxed when the $3m debt ("no worries", PT), (which was the main crux of Mick's concern last year) is paid.

Anybody know what happened to the $1m tax debt that the ATO was going to sue directors for?

Who knows we may be sailing even closer to the wind this year.

I think it's a habit thing and Dibo is right, FB and Twitter are competitors.

Hard to actually have a debate on FB and some of the comments left make any of the rubbish this board used to endure look v tame.

Be interesting to know if the SFC board has seen a drop off in traffic over the last few years? I imagine it has.

Maybe some fences need mending too. Both ways.

On the people not in here anymore I think that they do stop in a couple times a month. I used to try to get involved in the banter but as a 15-17 year old I wrote things like "tht game was g8" or what ever now being 21 I see how annoying that is but I was young and stupid an didn't want to type normally (basicly using grammar & correct spelling). Plus I think the death of forums was Facebook I have A forum dedicated to football manager (awesome game!!!!!) and we have pretty much moved our whole site on to there heaps easier but not as nice and every kids a troll now a days. Any way I still pop in see what going on quite reguarly actually but I never feel the need to write in here. I dunno why but yer just my thoughts.

To be fair to said doomsday twins, at the time their comments weren't wrong, the situation got fixed.

I'd suggest we are far closer to the edge now than then.

But be positive and wait for it to get fixed again I think.

I'm still here there and everywhere... Would be nice to see some of the old crew return though and new ones get more involved.

On the upside, there used to be a handful of dickheads whose sole purpose on this forum seemed to be to smash any decent debate or rubbish peoples opinions. Those idiots are no longer posting... and for that, I am grateful.
