ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I read alot of posts on alot forums sending commiseration to the boys, I see them, i appreciate them, I say fućk em ( the commiserations, not the people sending them). I hope the boys dwell on this, I hope the use it, and I hope they shove it so far down the refs and the opposition throats next time the bastards realize reffing a game so stupidly will only push our boys greater heights.
Onward and upwards boys.

Was that the 5-4? Where we scored 8 players to there 11. One off, one receiving treatment, one on the ground?
Remember this:
Bosnich, a Fox Sports commentator, railed at Ams for his call on Saturday night, insisting the 36-year-old be stood down for awarding the spot kick.
“It’s an absolutely disgraceful decision. I’m sick of this,” he said.

The only sliver of positivity I can take away from that farce from the officials is that they did it on Friday night not Sunday evening when we normally play. I really don’t need to be that mad going in to the work week.

I never bag individual referees but I have to say, my heart sank a little tonight when I saw Kurt Ams was the VAR official. I have very little confidence in his interpretation of the rules but even my darkest fears had nothing on the hideous reality as it unfolded tonight.

I've been super critical of Shaun in the past but to see him tonight at Stajs side right after the game has opened my eyes to what others have said about his character on here. I'll admit when I'm wrong, and I'm sure that I was, and I'm glad that Shaun is the ceo of our club tonight and I view a lot of other situations in our history through different eyes tonight.

I too am swallowing a piece of humble pie.

Referee Kurt Ams not named in Round 2 A-League officials after Melbourne derby blunder.

THE referee at the heart of the Melbourne derby penalty blunder has been given a week off from A-League duties.
A week, hell a lifetime would be more appropriate.
Everyones just gotta read this article and here is more:

Words fail me.

Yes me, but my opinion is not the opinion of the publisher. I am utterly gobsmacked by the astonishingly bad refereeing in the ADL v CCM match tonight.
Three penalties against the Mariners and not one of them correct. How on Earth does the better team get beaten like that? The Mariners were all over the Reds tonight and even Stefan Mauk admitted that the first penalty should never have been given.

Noticed this as well.

Very professional to protect Staj but more so the club here.

This is one of those things I will only be able to properly process in full context. Hopefully (in the context of the season) this game becomes no more than a blip, a minor joke that hopefully leads to the proper action being taken against all the officials concerned. To take little/ no further action would set a diabolical precedent for the league at a time when it is asking to be taken more seriously by the general public.

Stuff like this, left unpunished, makes the A-League look like the corpse of the NSL come to life.

But what will really piss me off is if the points lost tonight, in the greater context of the season:

a) Directly cost CCM the league OR
b) Directly cause CCM to be drawn against SFC at Kogarah or the Roar at Suncorp in week 1 of the finals

Does himself a disservice with this and talking about the ball heading over anyway, that’s not relevant.
And what was he supposed to do with his arms when diving in for a tackle? I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – footballers aren’t river dancers!

The argument against the third as the author came back to is:
-It wasn’t called in real time
-The footage did not clearly show if a deflection off Rowles leg or any other body part had occurred or not therefore how can it be described as a clear and obvious error and called back.

Similarly the lack of proof either way would have meant if it was called in real time the VAR would have let it stand,

Its night like tonight were the officials where so bad... it makes you just not wanta watch the A-league...

If the ref is not dropped and if he gets a OK job by the refs review process then people will not watch.

I watched the match in a club and sitting at the table alongside me were two pommies who have been on a two year work assignment .... they said that the field ref & VAR ref in Europe would be dropped for the season on that performance tonight,,,
This destroys the game. That was truly f**king disgraceful.

I would go as far as to suggest that maybe the police should be involved to investigate possible corruption. I cannot call it as just incompetence it was so bad.
International betting markets in the sub continent, maybe. It is not uncommon, but usually in lower leagues.
I have never seen any worse officiating in any code of football, at any level, in my entire life.
Manly's run to the 1978 NSWRL Premiership comes to mind...
