ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Someone check Kurt Ams betting account.
Another good stat.
Of those played at Coopers, 3 wins, 1 loss.
That means away 8 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses. That's quiet an away record under 1 ref.
wonder what the odds were on adelaide while away from home?

It almost feels like a pre-arranged marketing stunt to get more people watching/talking about the A-League. For real fans it's not a good advert for the game and why wouldn't everyone start diving all the time now? Disgraceful and shameful.

Yeah interesting point and that thought has been crossing my mind too. There is a lot of talk amongst fans and it's very much "click bait". The Mariners being used as the sacrificial lamb.

Although not sure how far it's spread (outside football specific sites) - I don't look there for football news anyway, but had a quick scroll down news.com.au to see if there was anything. Nothing, so drilled into a few categories, sport, football, even down to the A-League section... not a word about the game.

Far right column is penalties

Ams =.46pens per game
Beath =.26 pens per game
Shaun Evans = 27 pens/107 games = .25
Peter Green = 38/144 = .26

Somethings f**ky. Right?

Nothing on the Sydney Morning Herald about the game at all at the moment.

I seem to recall someone on here taking friends to a game at CCS.
We lost and had two players sent off.
The people thought it was great. The hostile atmosphere created by the fans etc.

Won't be in the SMH, it's a subsidiary of Fairfax, that has a deal with rugby Australia, and super rugby started last night, so any news in that paper will now be minimal.
It'll play second fiddle to any rugby that may on.

Hence the lead article in the "Soccer" section. They used to call it football.

Stan Sport could be keen on A-League - but only if it stays in summer

Staj presser is good but I like how he makes some key points like that AU did control the game a little better.
I think Stens was missed last night for sure

but that our attack looked alot more dangerous. We should have done better with all those headers or near headers. Ee broke through their defense with ease quite a few times.
The AU backline is very thin with Jacobson and we should have scored more. Shame we couldn’t control the game a little more to more pressure on them

Every post the FFA makes it getting absolutely slaughtered right now. They made some post about an upcoming match and everybody is just having a go at them for match-fixing.
The argument against the third as the author came back to is:
-It wasn’t called in real time
-The footage did not clearly show if a deflection off Rowles leg or any other body part had occurred or not therefore how can it be described as a clear and obvious error and called back.

Similarly the lack of proof either way would have meant if it was called in real time the VAR would have let it stand,
Those arguments are correct - by the laws, if it's a self-deflection and the arms are above the shoulder, it MUST NOT be a foul.
And in the footage you can't tell.

And I agree that if it was given live, the footage would be unclear enough that it wouldn't be overturned.
If he’s going to defend that and some of the other howlers that happen too often then he needs to go to. Bring in someone with no connections to this cozy group and start holding officials to account. How many promising NPL refs do we have around the country not getting a shot to step up?
Absolutely - The idiots in charge are still tied too closely to the f**kwits who ran the referees from the start. It's the same old guard, the same boys club, nothing changes.
And I agree 100% that Australia's best referees are out there doing NPL or state league because they aren't playing the right politics.
And it also comes back to the quality of grassroots assessors - way, way too many of them are utterly incompetent (though even at this level, I've had a HAL assessor admit that the assessors love to play favourites because they all want their own state ref to get the grand final). And the assessors determine who goes up through the ranks.

Assessors seem to love a weird mix of referee who manages to both be arrogant yet afraid to make a decision. That's the absolute worst of both worlds.
