Great leadership tonight by Staj. It’s really tempting when you are clearly being cheated to loose your cool but he kept it and controlled the boys on the sidelines not to get in more trouble because you know with a referee like that he thinks he’s so powerful and he will just throw cards for fun and he will be backed up by the league
It was a shame Kye snuck in a got off a verbal and got a red because all it did was hurt us. The ref couldn’t careless.
At fi I thought Kye sprayed him wihis water bottle but I think it was just a snide remark

I was quite amazed when Harper, Peacock and even Robbie Cornthwaite all agreed that all three penalties were wrong. Cornthwaite was also amazed that the reason for Staj's yellow from the ref was because he had been standing up all game.
Pretty amazing when the entire Fox team including an ex Adelaide player and local are with us.

Well I was going to watch the recording and go to bed but now I’m too f**king mad, That was the most blatantly horrible display from the ref and VAR I’ve seen in a long time , possibly ever. I could cop one of the second two, probably the handball (although big question on if it came off his foot or leg first making it a deflection) on the balance of things but I don’t think there was enough to call any of them.

Not going to lie I did put those two together as a very convenient coincidence. Doubt there’s any causation there but with a display like that its all up for discussion.

As a side note you don’t often see neutrals as mad about an outcome as they are over on reddit and other forums. Anyone not wearing red is acknowledging we got blatantly screwed.

I really thought that after a year away, farm sitting with my beautiful wife and previously witnessing so many abhorrent referees appointed to our matches that there might be a slight improvement looks like I was wrong. The A League really needs a freaking big broom swept through it.

Staj’s is up now and it’s glorious
He does so well to keep his cool whilst subtly questioning the integrity of the match officials and the way adelaides players handled themselves.
I love him so much more and as I mentioned earlier, for anyone that watches the post match presser and what Staj said, Tonight will be the motivation from here on. The f**ks in charge can’t handle us winning this league, they don’t want us to be succesful, but f**k that, we’ll do it anyway.
