For the last 20 minutes, all CCM did was get men behind the ball. They didnt hold the ball at all. Newcastle must have had 90% of possesion, and then 90% of shots! It's too late to leave it to the final minute to attack.

Everything was looking good until they tried to grind out the win.

It didn't work against GCU, and it didn't work against the Jets! I sat there for the last 20 mins just waiting for the Jets to score.

We dominate when we attack, if you sit back and defend, with no counter-attack you will concede goals!

At least our young guns all had blinders (Amini, Sainsbury and Ryan) - future is looking good.

Kwasnik learns to stay onside.

McBreen needs to score.

Shit end to a shit match. With any luck the injuries Scum had by the end of the match help them to an absolute raping on Saturday night.

Words cannot describe how disgusted I am at the result of this match. Just like against the Fold Coast, the match should have been over by halftime but we let them back in by not being ruthless in front of goal.

Ryan gets my man of the match vote. Scum get worst goal of the season (closely rivaled by Wilkos f**k up on Sunday). Amini, Sainsbury and Rose, outstanding. Midfield looked weak, especially in the first half, Hutcho's influence? Scum looked hungrier. Didn't have the feel of a derby, the lack of yellow and red cards may have been the reason.

The ONLY positive to be taken from that result is that scum didn't win.

Draw is a draw is a draw. They kept the best team in the League atm (Brisbane) at locked scores last week, so leaving EAS with something is a plus. I would be devo if Sasho had scored the match-winner in injury time, but again there needs to be less defensive minded football when the scores are low. Maybe at 3-0, but not when you are one goal up. In the meantime, just remember there was a time when Sasho saved OUR arses...

Devastating to draw like that. I'll take the point( I had a feeling we would) but when we were up to drop the 2 points hurts. Good game though.

Can I ask why Breeze had the right to blow fulltime when he did? The ball wasn't cleared, it was backed over the goal line for a corner to us. He's not allowed to call fulltime at that point, surely? <_<

f**k.

I had to work tonight, but was consoled by knowing I was at least coming home to watch the game.
Came home, quickly switched on the set... only to read on the most horrendous words possible on the foxtel planner... "recording failed" I went ballistic, then went online and read about the result. And now having read posts, match reports and GA's statement after the match... I'm very confused as to whether we put in a good average or terrible shift in? As I've read all of the above.

Match analysis would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I did enjoy one funny moment as I left the ground... a couple walking out of the ground (Jets fans) were asking each other why Newcastle had to wear their away strip.

Rather than think of the obvious explanation (our home AND away strips clash with their home strip), they proceeded down a ridiculous path of "because we're Newcastle and we get kicked around like this and that" blah blah blah... made me laugh. Apparently they're the FFA's whipping boy because they were forced into their blue shirts tonight.

Another drunkard rumbled past me with his big fat head asking me if I'd lost two points and was looking for them. Not sure he understand the concept of a draw, where each team is awarded 1 point at fulltime each on the league table....

Some people are just beyond help.... bogan scum

CCM kits are a disgrace, no idea how the FFA allowed you guys to basically have 2 home kits. The only thing that was worse was the away support. Where the f**k were you guys?

Well, it WAS a week-night. Many people would have had a trouble getting to the match in time from work.

And Brennan, I see it this way: If it was 0-0 and then Judas scored to win the match, that would have been REALLY devastating. Two other teams at the pointy end of the ladder (Adelaide and Brisbane) have come away without all 3 points. I was expecting a draw tonight personally. Quite hopeful of overturning our home-ground hoodoo against the Roar on Sunday. That would be very sweet.

CCM kits are a disgrace? Your fans are a disgrace. A Newcastle 'father' mouthing off at me in front of his kids, then trying to have a swing at me in the car park - again in front of his young kids, because I said "I'm not here for drama"? Yeah, your kids are raised well.
f**king scum. f**k f**k f**k, that should have been 3 points.

no worse than the ccm fan who punched a Newcastle fan in the back of the head in the park behind the hockey centre, who then pretended to be a newcastle fan so he wouldn't face retribution.

ps. sasho

Far worse IMO - 'let's raise our kids on violence etc'... Great work.
Sasho? yeah, he's a c**t. you were lucky and you know it. Wait 'til the return at BTS champ.

lol. What on earth are you on about P-bogan? Our home kits great and our away is simple but decent and well within the FFA directive.

Re turn up,
Ahhhh, it's a wednesday night where the schedule was bumped and amended for you f**kers (Ingrates) Should be enough said,
But on top of that it's EAS! Worst place to visit in the HAL.

What, don't they hate Sasho anymore? Isn't it a girls' name? That could have been Sackwhack or Culina Junior playing for us tonight and scoring a late one and I would still hate them.

At least we didn't get beaten by someone really crap like, say, Perth. Or perhaps Sydney FC? ::)

lol, well not really. this guy was a full grown adult who has violent tendencies, so I'm assuming that, by your logic, he was probably brought up to be a violent person by his parents or what have you. disgrace.

or maybe you think violence is ok, as long as your own children aren't there to see it, heaven forbid.

sasho is a good bloke though. we were heaps lucky, but we deserved a bit of luck considering we lost 2 of our key players in the first half which threw us out a fair bit. fair play to you guys, very unlucky not to win.

Also, unlike 95% of Scum fans, Mariners fans had jobs to get to the game from (and to wake up for tomorrow). We don't have dole payments to waste all day sitting on the net and discovering that Sasho is actually a guy's name.
