ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

You never know, if Fury is really considering LM, we might be considering Fergie.
If Fergie is the coach that LM isn't (according to some opinions here), then a straight swap might work.
I don't know enough to form an opinion about Fergie's ability, but it is a thought.
By the look at how the season went I ask the question was Lawrie privy to this scenario ten weeks ago???

interesting thought given that arnold was hanging around our games around that time

We knew it before the start of the season after a poor ACL. It didnt really matter what McKinna achieved Arnold would have taken over next season.

Is it me or did the world just become a darker place.

Dont eyeball the guy who has worked for you for 5 seasons and tell him its time to go. That takes balls and costs you money.

Instead, undermine and humiliate him

Classy
He'll probably get the standard 'full backing' tommorow lol !

Stages of grief

  1. Denial "This can't be happening, not Arnold?."

  2. Anger "Why us? It's not fair!"; "How can this happen to us?"; "Who is to blame?"

  3. Bargaining "I will be super positive at all games if.......";

  4. Depression "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"; "we are destined for the spoon and ridicule, why go on?"

  5. Acceptance " I may as well prepare for the spoon and Danny at Full Back."
Generally, the person in the fifth stage will want to be left alone in a half empty stadium every 2 weeks. Additionally, feelings and physical pain may be non-existent. This stage has also been described as the end of the struggle.

If he did know 10 weeks ago then its not a good reflection on Lawrie.

I know it would have been a bitter pill to swallow, but f**ken man up, do your job to the best of your ability and go out with a bang. We had a team that could have won things this year and it would have been the best resume for another job.

Funny how Matty's form has gone out the window during the same time frame. Scared of Arnold's reign or desperatly going to miss Lawrie?

There goes any thoughts of a big name socceroo coming home to play for us.
(I said big name all you Holman lovers!)

"Community Development Manager" seems a little patronising, doesn't it?

Surely they could make him a scout or something... he does have a pretty good eye for talent.

I hope he comes over after the game this week. Likely to be his last home game and after all of his efforts it would be nice to farewell him properly

Will be interesting to see if Lawrie does some kind of lap around the field on the 6th as a 'goodbye' to the fans?

Be interesting to see the crowd on Friday night...

As an aside on the coach / crowds / club / team/ etc... many who still come matches today come from Sydney and followed the Northern Spirit .. our little travelling group  of 3 to 6 depending on the week are all from Sydney...

Will we still come if Arnold is the manager especially when Rovers come in... HHHmmmm I do wonder at our management GA has to be an outstanding success to have any hope of beining the crowd along... I know people who come from Blacktown, Pendel Hill, Ryde, Eastwood who come to Mariner matches I do wonder aloud if the Rovers take off can we keep them...

I have posted I think we should go to San Polo and get one of their better coaches and bring then over here
