ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

6 WINS, 36 GAMES - it's time to go: Lawrie!

Don't give me this crap of not having the cattle to work with; don't give me this crap that there is no one better. Lawrie's time is up.

Was Lawrie sick at the post match interview with fox or was that white/green hue on his face the realisation of the end of his coaching career?

Lawrie did looked resigned to going in the interveiw but also seemed to admit that he has no ideas on what else to do.

I hope if he is going to go though it is announced this week, the club put some great offers on the tickets so that despite the form this sesaon at least people can get down to the game on Sat to show their appreciation of what he has done for the club and send him off in a fitting way which should be the biggest crowd of the season.

It was bloody hot in Perth and sitting on the sideline watching that rubbish would have made anyone feel like that. To be honest i feel sorry for the gaffer as i think he has been let down by the club and the players. As Hutch said everybody including each individual player needs to take responsibility for that performance and the performances over the 10 weeks.

Sometimes no matter how good or how much of a nice guy the coach is,after a while the message goes stale.

A new coach, new message ,tactics etc can work wonders sometimes.

It can fail aswell but in our case the writings been on the wall for a couple of years now.

This last 18 mths only shows how important that fergie was to the squad and how inept LM is as a coach

Agree to all of the above  ... a new coach needs to be brought in NOW, not at the beginning of next season. Stuffing around with this situation = loss of patronage, loss of sponsorship, and more importantly loss of community support. It's all downhill from there. Can't keep on going like this ... I love LM, but his time has come. A break from this situation will probably do him the world of good, give him time to re-energize.

I'm not going to take either side of whether Lawrie should stay or go.

However, to answer you Roy - the problem is not there is no-one better - the problem is the replacements mentioned aren't better. If that is the case - why change,

If it is decided that Lawrie goes - let's not just replace him for the sake of it. Use it as an opportunity to take the club to a higher level.

Wilko's attitude in the post match interview seemed to sum it up for me. Couldnt give a flying.

Thats the area that begs for a new manager. It seems Lawrie is now unable to motivate the boys. No matter how good his tactics might be, if he cant get them firing then there is no point. It refers back to the Fergie situation again, he took no shit. a) Is Lawrie too soft? and b) Do the players still respect this authority?

I mean the bloke dropped GOD to the bench! Thats some serious kahunnas right there.

Can you expand on this? Not sure what you mean.

Good idea! ... Would he come here? ... Have we enough money in the kitty to pay for him?  Is it a fact that Arnoldout is the only option .. or is this just a bit of blether?

Doesn't seem to have a habit of staying around very long at a club -

19992000 - Yokohama F.C
2001 - Bayer Leverkusen (Asst.)
20012002 - MSV Duisburg
20032004 - Yokohama F.C.
20052006 - Sydney FC
20062008 - Avispa Fukuoka
2008 - Saipa
2008 FC Vaduz

Simple really - I don't think Arnold, Kossie, Fergie or youth coach are the answer. If you are to replace Lawrie - do a proper search - employ someone that is not simply 'not Lawrie' - but someone that can actually add value to not only the first team but potentially to the COE.

To be honest, that's bleeding obvious.  A given. Isn't that what we are all wanting, and discussing?
