ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

promote our club to dis enfranchised FC supporters north of the bridge.
Bus Stop stand or nothing!

I don't think they should allow the Council/Stadium to get away with it again, and we should all be working to convince the club not too even think about it ... but if it happens ..

I actually think NSO if it has to be a Friday night, otherwise Parramatta.

I vote 2 consecutive sydney home matches played away so we get an awesome pub crawl

But f**k moving a game to canberra, they showed they dont want them.

Talk of relocation is foolish IMO.

Bring back $77 student memberships!

I could give a flying f**karoo what the other supporters think of me - let them ravish their mothers and marry their sisters, while I wear a funny hat made from a football, and walk to the Oaks full of Mariner Spirit

Engagement with locals community is important ... one of biggest mistakes in business is when management assume how its market will react..

No games away from BT is the only answer ... sorry I come via NS as well but NSO was yesterday ... we have the CC Bears coming soon and we are talking the talk about being a community club in tune with what locals think ... locals don't want it moved...

SFC & Rovers have Sydney... we have CC & Upper Hornsby regions as our natural drawing area ...

No way should we move.. for a start my season ticket is choosen to be out of the sun under cover for a reason... it's called a good seat...

I was letting laziness make the decisions for me - I also have super seats at BT that I wont be giving up for anyone

how feasible would it be to start some petitions to send to the club (either online or start them when the winter saturday comps start)

i ran an online petition via my website about the w.c ticketing in 2006 - could possibly set one up...

edit: would suggest a formalised draft be agreed on rather than one individual writing it

I don't want us to become the North Sydney Mariners by stealth, thank you very much.  We're a Central Coast team.  Once we start accepting NSO games as home games, we have let the genie out of the bottle and it will become easier for them to play scheduled fixtures there at the slightest excuse from BT stadium.

there's been absolutely no talk about games in NS apart from on this forum - point being that games at NS would be much better for Coast fans than a bloody long hike to Canberra - if they MUST send home games somewhere else, then make it easier to get to

...and what are the stipulations regarding the capacity of a venue etc? I doubt NSO would qualify anyway.

Dear CCM Board

Until recently I have backed most of your decisions.

More recently however I am starting to wonder if you are as attuned to the CC as you would have the wider community believe.

The Mariners created a perception of the community club... with massive support for local park teams.. local park teams are starting to question when / how / why... The song .."what about me springs to mind"

The appointment of Graham Arnold,,, HHHMMmmm.. I hope you are right because beyond doubt the most unpopular coach in Australia in recent years and given the Northern Spirit links ... brining an extra  load of baggage... a brave decision but like all brave decisions will back fire in a big way if he fails as many expect...

However today announcement about moving games is IMO beyond stupid....

Bridges need re building... the grass roots re engaged...

Why because the CC Bears will start a team in either the 2012 or 2013 season... they have heaps of money the backing of NEWS which brings the TerrOR and the Express... further if the last time is anything to go by the CCLC will pour heaps into their development... They also have Singo and his radio network we left ... Lets not forget Wyong Leagues..Plus Ch 9 and the Fosile AM stations...

We appear to have a number of disgruntled sponsors, a number of of park clubs asking where are we .. remember we created the perception ... WE have not supported one of the CC most influential power brokers [radio contracts] ...  question are starting to arise about the capital funding of the MCOE... and about our own day to day cash position with FFA putting in a few coins is the suggestion...

We have at best three seasons but maybe two seasons to find our past... to rebuilt our crowds .. but I am concerned because at the half way point when we where third .. the crowds failed to reach 7 to 8 k... even our new year game was well below expectations...

In either 2012 or 2013 we will be in a head to head battle with the CC Bears and we need a solid base of rusted on hard core ... IMO you are starting to loose the confidence of the local football community ... it is in no way in disrepair or in a position it cannot be won back ... but moving our  home games is beyond stupid ...

Sent the above email.

Got my answer today...this is a good sign at least the club is listening...

From the club...

Hi Glenn,

Firstly, thankyou for your e-mail, this is the type of feedback the club wants to receive as it plans the best road forward in 2010/11 and beyond.

Let me reassure you, the club remains passionate about its Members, supporters and the Central Coast community, and will continue to do its utmost to adequately service the supporter base, which is why the decision was made to release a Members survey to be able to hear from you.

Graham Arnold has been an Assistant Coach of the Socceroos through the most successful period of our national team's history, working alongside the likes of Guus Hiddink and Pim Verbeek, and brings a great deal of coaching experience to the club. He has had a history of talent identification and his contacts within football put him in a great position to lure strong talent to the club.

The club understands the feeling of many Members and supporters over the relocation of games to Canberra last season, and let me once again assure you that it has, and will always remain, the club's absolute preference to play all home matches at Bluetongue Stadium. Unfortunately however, as the club doesn't have an ultimate say in its availability, we remain at the mercy of Stadium Management and Gosford City Council.

The club remains proud of its community involvement and remains committed to forging a close partnership with Central Coast Football and local clubs through our ambassador program, where each Mariners squad member is paired with a local club, to appear at events such as presentation evenings.

Club nights have also proven hugely successful in the past with the entire squad hosting coaching clinics and signing sessions at local clubs, and a number of these have already been organised for the new season.

The club has a strong Community program and has created an elite pathway for all young footballers on the Central Coast, from their local club to Central Coast Lightning and beyond, through School Holiday Clinics, school and academy Gala Days, Academy Programs and Scholarships.

The club regularly conducts school and community visits, and will continue to do so.

The development at Tuggerah has the potential to not only be a financial lifeblood of the club, but also a community project of which the entire Coast can be proud of, and in a financially competitive world, it is a sad fact that Hyundai A-League clubs would be unable to survive on the goodwill of Members, sponsors and supporters alone.

It is therefore paramount that the club moves to consolidate its future, whilst also remaining loyal to its core Community values.

To do this, the club needs the support of its Members and supporters. This is a challenging time for all involved, but for the club to survive and thrive, it needs to have the complete support of Members and supporters.

Thankyou for your continued support of the club.

Kind Regards,

John McKay
Chief Executive Officer
