ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

A CCM player getting an unnecessary red card and giving away penalties as Matty very well could of is never acceptable. Against CCM and a kid like McGing- who is clearly not the malicious or mouthy type... serious lack of class.

We've angered a lot of people over the years by being the spanner in the works/successful under dogs, but since we sacked Moss it really seems like we've made a lot of enemies in the football fraternity and they all seem to be lining up to take a swing now we're not in a very good position to defend ourselves at all. Walmsley was brave the other night in his interview. Has a lot of class. Really hoping he gets the support he needs to turn this around.

I expect sacking Arnies best mate and releasing the son of one of his other mates has done us no favours at Fox.

Which part do you disagree with Kev?

Also Kev, why do you think that those on here who've criticised Bosnich for his attack on the club are "dumb" ???

I know you love this club, even though your now 'bending banana's' in Coff's. ;)

Because his 'attack' aka a question to Walmsley was spot on! His comment about our current approach being a good reason for relegation (as a concept, not aimed as us so much) was a reasonable one!

On balance - the bits about having made too many enemies in the football fraternity, and Walmsley being brave (he was barely coherent).

I mostly agree with you on the enemy thing. I think more is made of this stuff in the coverage than is real.
Looking at TW, Hutch and Arnie before the first Sydney game and even brief shots of Arnie interacting with some of our guys after the game on Sat - it's hugs and laughs all around.
Once that's said, I was in two minds about some of the commentating on the weekend.
The comments about regretting letting Reddy go piss me off because noone should be above the law, no matter how good they are... Defending shitty behaviour because the alternative player is shit is... well... Shitty - to stay in the lavatorially related vernacular ;-)

Other than that, TW wasn't the most well spoken, but I thought he answered the questions as best he could and you'll note that Bossa seemed to agree ;)

I've given up in trying to analyse this thing but WOULD like to add that for those who are surprised by Bossa's rant - you might want to skip back a couple of years to just before Gombau came to Adelaide, and have a look at hos scathing review of a game when the fans actually did boo the players off the pitch. He took no prisoners then either.

I hope you're right, maybe I'm being paranoid or too parochial, but it seems that way.

Re Walmsley, :piralaugh: Yeah ok, will agree to disagree.

* Bozza loves a good high horse, but I actually wasn't even thinking about Bosnich when I posted. Zelic, Speed, Moss and the boys club connections and all the damaging rumour mongering were at the front of my mind.

Bozza is not backward in coming forward, and always backs up what he believes, and I really like that about him as I posted about recently. Whereas others, really do come across as simply not liking the club.

I also thought he had a fair point re relegation. No consequences can mean a lack of ambition/spending is acceptable.

I don't believe that we have no ambition however, as there is a pretty clear vision. But I do think MC & now TW and Storrie have been naive about the $ to make us competitive and entertaining these past two years.
