ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think you all have to give the girls a break. It wasn't their decision where their home ground was. Don't you think if they had the opportunity to play in front a crowd supporting them at the Mariners home ground they wouldn't jump at it? They are doing the best they can with the amount of money they have. Maybe if the Mariners acctually help them out and give them some funding and allow them to play at their ground they might have a better chance. They are doing a good job and represent the badge well!!!

Keep it up girls.

I cannot see anything in this thread against the girls either.

I think you should go back and read the seven pages of the thread before making such generalisations.

Umm can your read ?? no one ever had a go at the girls ??

Mariners give funding and let them play at there ground ?? ummmm

1. the mariners barely make a profit as it is

2. its not the mariners ground, they dont own it and have no say on what goes on there. besides, if they were to play there they would be playing at the same time as the mens team.

I agree totally!!!!!!!! all the rest of you must be blind or cant read!!! the girls are proud to be representing the central coast and they shouldnt be constantly slagged as the west sydney mariners!!! its got nothing to do with them so get over it, as much as you dont like it they are the central coast mariners and they are doing a fine job of it and proud of it too!

Womens Football, who really cares where there from, I'm not going to watch Parra to watch them and I doubt I'd watch them at Gosford.

Some one had to say it...

I would've watched them if they were before/after a HAL match, or even NYL, just for the sake of supporting a CCM team.

It's unfortunate that they're the Western Sydney Mariners though.  I struggle to feel any affiliation with the girls....

Central Coast Mariners 2 (Simon 46', 70')
Canberra United 1 (Brush 49')

Red Card: Lisa Hartley (Mariners) 48'

Awesome result and by the look of it, it took the dismissal of a player to help canberra slot one in before we could regroup.

The Red Card was to the Mariners goalie for taking out the last player and was a succesful penalty to Canberra United.

Yeh, closest game to the Central Coast is at Parramatta stadium. ::)

In fact, Sydney also have games at Parramatta stadium so its obvious its just a second Sydney team. Worse still, the Jets have their home games at Wanderers Oval Newcastle which I reckon would be closer to the Central Coast than the Mariner's home games. ::) ::)

Alrite, you have all said the closest game is Parra Stadium. If you don't want to support them don't, but get over it. When the w-leauge gets more money and can afford to hire out Bluetounge they will. They won their last game and are equal first. Support them or shut up. If you all don't rekon this is bagging them, I don't know what is. If people on their own supporters site are being negative how do you think they would feel. I don't care if you all have a go at me or not so say your worst.

You forgot all about the home games clashing/overlapping with the mens games which with the mens game against adelaide being moved is down to two games at a different time. There is serious issues with the scheduling that stops people who are actually interested from going.

Why didn't they hire pluim? (it's good enough for the youth team) why didn't they have a game at gladesville? (we've played trials there and the association is tied with us)

At the end of the day this comp is run by the ffa and the teams are run by the state associations so that the girls get a regular comp which is good but don't try and link it to an area where they don't even play.

On a side note it is good to see NNSW football doing a better job of spreading the jets brand north of the hunter than the Jets actually do.
