ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Uploads may be a bit munted at the moment - been meaning to fix that but haven't gotten around to it

Wales apparently signed with $ity weeks ago but it is unclear why they haven’t announced it. CCM has nothing to announce as he wasn’t a contracted player, so they will no doubt not want to add to members’ concerns about ins and outs with memberships having only just gone on sale.

Personally I can’t see DDS staying with CCM and I don’t think the club is prepared to beg him to not leave if he isn’t 100% up for the challenge. What Danny needs to realise is that he could potentially reap a lot of benefit to his character by sticking it out here and putting in the hard yards rather than chasing perceived visions of glory somewhere else, which is something he has arguably been doing since he left Glory.
Very good point

More than likely the drama surrounding DDS is contractual with Roma. They may not want to divest there interest in him which ruins his chance with city as I believe they wanted to pay their interest out. Thee could also be a massive gap between what they think he's worth and what he thinks he's worth.
I can't see any one but citeh paying Roma out.

Get Rostyn in, recruit a quality keeper and use our import spots for a decent ten and a decent nine. That should make a solid spine.

Rostyn next to Tom is exactly what we need. We get dominated aerially by most sides in the middle of the park and we’ve been too easily outmuscled on set pieces at both ends for the past few seasons.

That and poor delivery has made our corners all but a complete waste of time, which when combined with one of the only things we've consistently had, pacey wingers, was incredibly frustrating.

Two proper sized cbs a big DM and Simon would have a significant impact on those areas and translate to a very valuable difference in both defence and attack across a season I think.

Also would help free Tom and our 10 to have an imposing DM to challenge and knock down balls. I liked wout but he wasn’t that imposing.

Still need somebody that can kick a stationary ball in their general direction :(:(:(

Just been told we've paid out Baro's contract and he has left. Hope not!

Back on the fence for me ???? ............ why would his contract be paid out??? That would indicate they wanted him to leave ????

Maybe the fact he wasn’t carrying an injury and didn’t want to went against him :mad::mad::(:(:tv:

Just had the same conversation with my "source". He may be confused as the reason is family related apparently. I think he's misunderstood and Alan has paid it out?

Was going to say not again with paying players who aren’t playing for us when we don’t pay the cap.

Cornthwaite has just retired at 32 years of age, I recall seeing him in some of the prospect lists. Baro gone and no Cornflake option, this will be interesting how we build our back line back up and around Golec I recall MMM saying.

Lets see what MMM has found overseas. I'd also be making enquiries about Alex Grant and Shane Lowry from Perth.

I'm not pleased to lose Baro as he was a good player and a proper defender.

Wow. Very interesting days. At least we'll have hope at the beginning of the new season - with a basically brand new team you just have to hope they can play!
