ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I’m looking forward to seeing how the Dutchies go in year 2 and with better quality and attitude around them. Tom H if he can stay fit will kill it. Wout will definitely be better placed with more quality around him.

Was literally just about to type that and clicked on the next page and you’ve saved me the bother!

Surrounded by players who regularly go missing. Which was essentially all our forwards, plus our weak wing backs and no striker capable of holding up the ball or finish was a recipe to put them under constant pressure.

Our movement was so poor. I can wait to watch us play and make consistent runs that create space and open up channels again. In that kind of side. Tom and Wout will be a real force. They were the only two mids in the Comp capable of schooling SFC this year.

There are rumours swirling that we may lose either Tom or Wout for next season but whilst I think that would be a mistake, it was noticeable how we only really saw the best of Wout after Tommy was out injured. Is it possible that they are too similar to compliment each other?

I get the distinct impression that MMM is incredibly pragmatic and has no room for sentiment, so will only be looking to have players that fit his designs going forward regardless of reputation or history.

I have also learned that TBT did have an Okon Out clause in his contract, so the club was over a barrel with him leaving. Still, I hear that the substitutes chairs at SFC are more comfortable than ours. :headbounce:

I would very strongly prefer to keep both Dutchies.
If it HAD to be one to keep, I think we'd all agree Hiariej is just too good to let go

TBH the only other coach I have seen do this is Popa especially in his first and second year.

MM seems ruthless and determined to have it his way... not such a bad thing ... but very interesting watching from teh side lines...

Didn’t dislike you saying it, just dislike the idea one of those two could be Tom. Wout i can live with if it means a better attacking player.

Maybe Corey is safe at training :D

I’d be absolutely shocked if either leave, both are proper pros, they realise their importance to our club and will hopefully honour their contracts.
Disagree that they’re similar players..
Tom is a box to box ball winner (which is why so many Aussies love him) with some creativity
Wout is a holding mid organiser that can pick a pass and do the little things well

Both have the technical ability levels above the majority of this league.

Wout is on holidays, not sure he is committed

Distraught at the idea of losing either. I saw Tom in Erina this weekend and he seemed happy enough so hopefully it'll come to nothing.

I am sure I read a post recently that said Tommy can play at RB, how about that as an option if MM doesn’t believe him and Wout fit together in midfield?

I am hearing that there are two more signings to be announced this week, neither of which will be a disappointment. I also understand there are several more are in the wings apparently, some of which are eye openers if they come off.
Oh you tease!
