Just on DDS, if City are buying out his contract from Roma, then I doubt City will give him the $500K he is currently on. Wonder what his new pay rate would be as if he were to be on $500K this would have ramifications for their cap and would City really list him as a marquee?

From his standpoint he may take a cut but doubt it would be to big. Considering City hand Budinski as Marquee and didn’t even play him I think DDS will be Marquee and still getting paid.
DDS chose this so you can expect him to be well compensated. You’ve got to remember if he stayed here he’d still be getting the Roma money as far as we know


Also city are more looking for the next Mooy with DDS and Azarni then trying to put bums on seats with big names.

Think they have worked out quickly MV has a monopoly on the fans and they are better off producing aussie talent to sell

Dds is no longer ccm’s problem .......... and he doesn’t have to wonder about russia either. Didn’t get a mention for the train on squad. Of the players bert liked from the games he saw were nabbout, petratos, brillante and arzarni.

Bert appears to be a good judge then.

Adam Hammill has good pedigree, loads of championship experience, Perth are keen on him though, apparently

Very happy with Clisby. For years when playing FIFA I have always signed Clisby to the Mariners when transfers come up and he always pays off
(so does Appiah...so not a the best litmus test) but means I've often kept an eye on Clisby.

I know people saying Smylie should not be on your list as he is youth but he is on the clubs website as an attacker in the 1st team squad. Maybe he is being upgraded.

Also Pearce, Rowles and Pain’s contracts are up. The club has them listed, so we either will get extension notice soon or they need to prove themselves more to MM and can all potentially go elsewhere if they have offers.

I haven’t read anywhere that Rowles or Pain have been re-signed as yet, so they would be off contract on 31 May. I am hoping the club will sign Rowles for at least another season, as I think he has good potential. As for Pain, ok as a back up but needs to do much more to be a starter imo.

Smilie is nowhere near HAL ready - good prospect but 2 years away at best. Also injured for 3 months so would miss a big chunk of pre season

TBT just hasn`t progressed at all this year under Okon so using the Okon clause to get out seems like a very smart move...into oblivion.
At least with us he had the "local" tag that would have given him another year under MMM.
As for DDS well, he didn`t exactly set the world on fire with us. Maybe if he had we would have finished well up the ladder and not in the predicament we are in now.
His move to City may have just closed the door on Wales too.

I`m happy with Clisby. He`s a good,tough, no nonsense left back that will enhance our defence.
I`ll be happy if Rowles is re-signed but as far as Pain goes, he was way too inconsistant for mine.
