ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.
With Millar joining Jets, I wonder what that means for Georgievski. Georgievski isn't an amazing player but pretty decent and experienced - Good enough to not stand out as a weak link. I wouldn't complain if CCM were to steal him off CCM.
It was just a thought. I thought the same thing (scummer and prick) but beggars can't be choosers and we are extremely capable of doing much worse. haha.No more scummers please and Georgievski is a prick.
In hindsight, and to be fair the only people annoyed at Millar is Mulvey and us, it’s a fair bet the players are going “ well!his doing what we all would do, it’s our career after all” still, it doesn’t excuse the arsebackwards finagling that the “football managers” at CCM HQ managed to f**k up ...Millars dead to me, but I guess his gots to pay the rent somehow
Oh yeah....#MiekelkampOut
Agreed. Even Roy had the decency to let CCM try to keep him. CCM just weren't prepared to match it on that occasion.I dunno - every discussion on this I see, people act like the club is some sort of evil, faceless, corporate overlord - applying normal workplace relations to the whole thing. But the reality is that this shit does go both ways. I don't think anyone's disputing that Millar has a right to go wherever he want and sign whichever contract he wants... But much like with the @Big Al 's stolen bike, that doesn't make it right.
When I leave a job with an employer I try to do so on good terms. I don't - say organise my annual leave to coincide with my notice period so I can leave the day I resign, both because it's the decent thing to do and because I don't feel any need to burn bridges either.
You don't have to be an arse just because you can and I feel a bit like Millar has been, that's the source of my anger.. Well that and the club yet again being so horrifyingly inept.
Indicative of the me society that they indulge in these days it's definitely cultural.Agreed. Even Roy had the decency to let CCM try to keep him. CCM just weren't prepared to match it on that occasion.
noooo... I actually feel better about the coming weeks (perhaps not THIS round) than I have for a long time.Man, this has really burned the fans.. After we were all starting to feel a bit better over the last few weeks, now we're all back to despondency
This is BAD. Shaun wrote in the members group that they were 'aware of the rumours'... but it says right here that Griffiths told CCM they were going to steal him and CCM have left the doors unlocked and lied about it to the fans.Statement: McKinna addresses Millar speculation
The Newcastle Jets would like to take this opportunity to address some of the speculation surrounding their discussions with Matt Millar from the Central Coast Mariners.
The Club can confirm that they have secured the services of Millar for two years, with the defender set to join the Jets at the beginning of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season.
Football Operations Manager, Joel Griffiths led discussions with Millar and his management – advising the Mariners of his intention to negotiate via email following 1 December 2018.
Jets CEO, Lawrie McKinna expressed his disappointment at the way the Club’s latest signing had been revealed.
“Obviously we’re really excited to have signed Matt, he’s a fantastic young talent,” McKinna said.
“To be talking about it under these circumstances isn’t ideal, as we had intended to keep this quiet until the end of the season out of respect for Matt and the Mariners.
“Joel (Griffiths) was completely transparent with the Mariners about our intentions to negotiate and we were able to put together an attractive package for Matt to join us here in Newcastle.
“We had extensive discussions with Matt and his management, and they liked what they saw both on and off the park here in Newcastle – we’re excited to have him at the Jets next season.
“Matt has handled himself exceptionally throughout this process, he’s an impressive young man and we wish him all the best for the remainder of the season.”

Seems to be at odds with our club claiming they had no idea there was an offer on the table.Statement: McKinna addresses Millar speculation

I imagine the club would've known there was an offer on the table. The sticking point is that he hadn't informed the club he'd accepted such an offer.Seems to be at odds with our club claiming they had no idea there was an offer on the table.
And its bad when our arch rivals have more credibility in this - and are being more transparent.
This *is* Griffo we're talking about, right? What's to say he isn't lying/bending the truth? This is BAD. He probably whacked Millar in the balls until he signedThis *is* Griffo we're talking about, right? What's to say he isn't lying/bending the truth?
