It could be a sign of where we’re at. It could be because we lost out on other players earlier this month.
But they’re basically PL U23 players. Like Aiden. So we’re getting 2 very sharp very fit very fast, highly technical hungry footballers.
I’ll take an entire squad of them over a lot of Australian aleague level players. But it obviously comes down to how determined they actually are. But we should expect the same mental level as Aiden.
I stand firmly by my statement that had we been winning games and be much higher in the table Aiden would’ve been a squadie for the Socceroos this month.
Sheff Utd most recent academy success story is David Brooks who’s now at Bournemouth and playing consistently brilliant. That’s purely down to hunger because a lot of these players are incredibly close in ability. The rest is mental ability.

And just on our squads average age of roughly 23. I rate that. Ajax of the early 2000s anyone?
Sheffield are league 1 I think... So they're a few steps below EPL u23 but they are gonna be many steps above our u23 players. So I'll be happy if they are a step up on nizzy.
I always assumed our rules would be the same as in Europe - players are free to negotiate with other clubs from outside their own country when they've got six months left of their contract, but that Bossi article suggested anyone could talk to him from 1 December. Which would mean Lawrie and Millar are twats, but legally in the clear.
Our end of contract is like May 28 or something not June 30 like Europe. So it's within 6 months

Just quietly, if the snake is dropped this weekend. Who comes into RWB?

Possibly chat for the match thread but with who we’ve named Hoole, Weemac or Clisby (switch Pain to right and play him left). Not terribly keen on any of the options tbh. Had this gone down a day or two earlier Kekeris might have been named. Can’t see Shabow starting back from injury and likely same situation with Oar.

I don’t get these loan signings at all. What benefit does the club get out of this??? There is no financial benefit and what have we got to play for this season??? The spoon??? Better to throw Kekeris and Glassock in the squad with the hope of future transfer fees.

Furthermore Mulvey’s handling of Kekeris has been nothing short of shambolic. Kekeris is a vastly better player than Wales. Wales has been shown faith by his manager and has thrived at City. If the same faith had been shown to Kekeris we would have a break out star on our hands.

Glassock is a guaranteed future first team centre back. Why are we waiting for another team to pounce???

Sheffield are 3rd in the championship and are promotion contenders. Their academy is very solid. These boys will be at Aidens level at the very least. Other factors will determine if they perform to that level or better.

I disagree with the idea they see Galssock as a guaranteed first team player. During the NYL he has been played at RB the majority of the games. He has rarely been brought into first team training since injuring Hoole.

I agree they should have brought youth players up, but Mulvey saying they were signing three players seems to suggest he tapped Monty on the shoulder and asked what will Sheffield UTD give us

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
You know, I always stuck up for Laurie after the way the club treated him , but he can get f**ked now ...as for Millar, here to you getting a f**ked up ACL first day at training and your manager getting pinged by the drug squad
Oh and while I’m castigating moronic arseholes ..Shaun Mikelkamp...hand your credentials in you dribbling idiot....you couldn’t manage a good crap

It fills spots we were having trouble filling. If they help us to win 5/6 of the next 11 I'm fine with it

Honestly the contract thing is horse poo to me. There's no reason you couldnt upgrade it as more money became available.

From my understanding Golec,Cisse, Gameiro etc were on one year contracts. The money they were paid could have gone into an offer for Millar months ago.

The Blades are 3rd in the Championship at the moment. 3 points behind an automatic promotion spot with 9 games to go. Slightly ahead on GD.

You'd be hard pressed not playing him but just slip Hoole in there or God. I'd probably put God in there and replace him in mid with Jem. Then Nisbett to finish. God will need to do 90 though.

Sheffield United press release says that Mallon is returning from a serious injury.

Oh, FFS

From the SUFC development squad profile

Stephen Mallon

Republic of Ireland youth international and another Blades youngster who suffered a serious injury during the 2017/18 campaign, but this talented midfielder, who can also operate at left-back, is now back to full fitness.

Sam Graham's

A physically strong defender who is blessed with pace, will spend the 2018/19 on-loan at Oldham Athletic to continue his development.

If a kid leaves his brand new bike for Christmas outside unlocked where the other kids can see it and goes inside. Don’t expect your bike to be there by the end of January

but Macca is a big fan and has close connections to the Jets maybe he was on a scouting mission.
Seems his Newy routes are kicking in. He was on the money before we even blinked.

Definitely seems close to Laurie and his off air gaffe shows he has no love for us right now
