FIFA clearances can take a while. Whilst all the paperwork may be done at this end, the club can’t announce anything until international transfer clearance comes through.

My understanding is that we can't play a signing until the international transfer clearance has come through.

Which would explain why he isn't in our squad for Sunday.

But I'm pretty sure we could announce it if we wanted to?
Which was what I was speculating.

Seriously, I can’t even remember what injury he has? There’s been so little update on it. Calf? Groin? Wasn’t it just a minor injury and they just didn’t want to risk him? It’s been about 3 months now...

It’s at the point where he’s stealing a living.
I genuinely want him fit and playing for us, he could add a little something up top.

After their breakthrough win of the season, The Mariners held a short session at Pluim Park this morning to avoid the sweltering heat.

Ahead of Sunday’s clash with Brisbane, coach Mike Mulvey confirmed Turkish International Jem Karacan is coming to the Coast on a short term deal.

Glad to hear it’s official, but a little puzzling none the less. I would totally get this if it was for 18 months, as we are unlikely to have both or either of our DMs next year.

If we wrote down our best 11, the DM role would be the last tat needs upgrading - on presumption of everyone being fit.

I saw him between injuries at training and he was fabulous. Potting goals from everywhere. Just looks beautiful on the ball.

Yeah that’s weird, and a bit of a bungled reveal from the club. I mean at this rate the members are the last to know if they haven’t been hunting for news on Twitter.

Also if it’s a half season deal are we a showcase for other clubs? Hope we’re getting a good deal.
