Otherwise Australians in the squad were Adam Federici and Ryan Edwards. Edwards just finished a loan deal, Federici still under contract for 18 months. But AM and Keeper both positions we'd be looking at.

I wouldn’t sweat that. Not many players you’d sign Thursday and play in your starting line up 72 hours later.

FIFA clearances can take a while. Whilst all the paperwork may be done at this end, the club can’t announce anything until international transfer clearance comes through.

I think it’s a yes to both. It was the right call to let the guys have their moment after breaking the winless streak and there may be an element of not upsetting the squad but with training at the stadium on Thursday having a photographer there I imagine it’s already known within the squad and that was a media opportunity. The player may not be ready to integrate as soon as Sunday so no pressure to name them yesterday for game day.
Also they may have decided to wait until today to give us something new to say today and keep the hype running to for the roar game.
