ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

If we play 532 then having 2 screening DM's gives us effectively a 7 man defence when we dont have the ball. If both screeners can play the ball out (ie not Melling) then a quick counter is on.

That would involve O"Neill at 10
I think we get a bit obsessed about having a 10. If you've got a midfield 3 like that a 10 isn't the be all end all. Plus I still think oar is worth a run there.

Be interesting for how long. 6 months or 18months
IMO, it's pointless signing anyone now unless we are looking at next season too. If we can have an improved second half to the season that flows into next that would be the best outcome.

I do agree with this but I also think we’re in damage control at the minute. With the FFA breathing down our neck, I think the club will have to make a few temporary signings to show that we can still be competitive. This is the only reason why we’d sign Fornaroli, it’s not to push for a top 6 spot or anything like that.

Barring Millar, we don’t have the pace to be a counter attacking side (or the distribution)

It’s true...

We just need a clever, creative, central midfielder who can work well in tight spaces, beat a man and play a proper through ball... ahhh damn... I’ve just described a number ten ;)

Seriously, we lack a quality playmaker, no getting around it I think.

Isias isn't a 10...
We need a playmaker but it doesn't have to be a 10

Similar kind of player to tommy h from my vague memory of him.
If he’s been training regularly I’d have no qualms seeing him off the bench for 20 then starting next to Tom and aiden.
Must be atleast an 18month contract though.
