    ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

    ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Fornarolli will be as ineffective as McCormack unless the midfield improves. If a quality AM comes in it could work.

I agree with needing to improve the midfield but I disagree about the comparison with Ross. Fornaroli is far more likely to and quite capable of dropping back to bring the ball forward, make his own chances or provide an assist. No doubt service helps any striker but some can do more than others with less.

You would have to say that that bit evidence is very strong for Sanchez playing here.

When was the last time he played a competitive fixture?

If this is our international signing it asks the question why are signing a DM? A few possibilities;
1. Tom Haraaj is leaving
2. Him or Aiden/Tom will be played at CAM
3. Cover for aiden when he leaves at the end of the season.
4. He will be played out of position (CB?)

I’m going for 3 with the possibility of pushing Tom or Aiden forward if we’re not having any luck finding a suitable AM in the window. Oar is there at the moment but likely slides left if Pain gets his UK move.

Edit - if Pain does get his move I hope he gets a farewell at a match. He deserves that much for what he’s put in over a terrible time.

If we play 532 then having 2 screening DM's gives us effectively a 7 man defence when we dont have the ball. If both screeners can play the ball out (ie not Melling) then a quick counter is on.

That would involve O"Neill at 10
