ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

One will have to be a centre back, especially with the Cisse and Golec issues.

I am calling Tongyik.

As a side, isn't Jake McGing the ultimate survivor. Goes into every season as a fringe player and by the end of the season cements himself as a first eleven player. He is turning into a solid, professional A-League player and should have a long, if not spectacular, football career.

Was it 11???
TBF he is a royal cock head BUT he has owned us a few games and used to be a very tidy player......BUT i think it was when he was fresh and not a drug f**ked hasbeen.

Also when i played......i would smash a brittle player like Bitch the first time he got the ball to make him gun-shy.......and his style of player would dissolve.
His number was in the 40s. Something like 42 or 44. To save the good numbers for the good player

Should nickname mcging the cockroach. Would survive nuclear war.
I like tongyik butwe've got Rowles and aspro in the young bloke category. We need an old calm head. Mile on loan would be good. He would suit being a CB but obviously would fill the DM spot too.

The problem with taggart is his conversion rate, he's missed a lot of really good chances and should probably be closer to 15. If he could sort that out he'd be in a position to have a crack at Bobo's tally and on his way to a bigger league.

At least some news is coming shortly!

Fornaroli would be good for the rest of the season, though someone decent to build with would be preferred. I'll still be happy with Fornaroli.

2, 3 or 4 good to moderate signings might actually get us back on track for a few wins and, still probably the spoon, but the fun of a chance of maybe not getting it.

Heh couldn't imagine saying that during The Golden Years: still probably the spoon, but the fun of a chance of maybe not getting it.

Only need 2 more wins than roar over the course of the rest of the season. Not insurmountable.

Fornaroli makes sense as it would be announced after the City game tonight (a point being made in the media re when). City may have agreed to move him on but only after we play them so he wouldn’t do the whole fairy tale come on a score against them story

We need an old calm head
I think part of Rowles fluctuating form has been the lack of that influence. He's been pushed in to the position of being our CB at 20 and that's asking a fair bit with the players around him. Get someone experienced and capable in beside him to steer things and mentor him, Aspro slides over to the right in the back 3 and we'll look at lot better. Not great news for Mcging though and I think he's done a decent job this year, better than our experienced CBs anyway.

Not to mention that the most important player for bringing calm, stability and confidence to a back four, is the keeper.

Kayo has some "classic" A-League games on demand.
I watched a bit of Mariners Vs Nix from 2015/2016. McGing is the only surviving player from that match.

While that list of players is 'peak Mariners' signing material, it doesn't sit with the rhetoric around 1-2 visa players being signed, so I would (hopefully) put it down to trolling.

If we are seriously speaking with Bingham again, we have some very very serious problems.

Not massively thrilled if we sign Fornarolli. It would then mean there is less chance of Murray getting a run as a striker.

We desperately need a goalkeeper, a centre back and a #10 before another striker.

He's realised and deleted the tweet.
Bingham, Bray, Virgili & Parkhouse were the players for those that missed it.
And Steve Whyte - so three former Mariners would be returning plus an ex-Scummer, with the last one a former Nix player I think?

But agreed, trolling definitely

Fornarolli will be as ineffective as McCormack unless the midfield improves. If a quality AM comes in it could work.
