Damn, really got to you didn’t it.
Mate, there’s still players here that smile and shrug their shoulders when we get pumped every week.
Sure, but when your on $100 k or better, leave your high fives and cuddles with the bloke that just slapped you until your out of sight of the fans you just decimated

You’d think with the way this has all been conducted there’s zero chance of that happening regardless of if he passes.

He's gone

McCormack called back to Aston Villa
The Central Coast Mariners have today received an official notice of recall from Aston Villa FC, Ross McCormack’s parent club, that terminates his services with the Mariners effective immediately.

The 32-year-old striker arrived on the Central Coast in September and made five Hyundai A-League appearances in Yellow & Navy, scoring one goal.

McCormack thanked the Central Coast Mariners and stated family reasons as a big determining factor for his return to the UK.

"I would like to thank the Central Coast Mariners and the fans for welcoming me on the Central Coast with open arms. Although I was only there for a short period, everyone made me feel very welcome from day one.

"The opportunity for me to return to the UK is something that I couldn't turn down and will allow me to see my children more, which is something that is very important to me.

"I wish the playing group and coaching staff all the best for the rest of the season." McCormack said.

That's fine, he wasn't the right fit for us - he's the sort of striker that really needs service on a platter wherease we need strikers who can earn their own goals unless we get a star number 10.
EDIT Though Mulvey playing him in the wrong position is also a big problem here.

No one is going to want to play for us .Why would you?

That is why the turnaround had to happen NOW. Maybe it is time for MM to convince Cisse and others that want out that are older that a nice little retirement earner can be had in Thailand or Malaysia to free up more spots now. The minimum requirement now is not to win a game - it is to avoid another spoon and prove we have turned around before the end of the season. If we cannot no one will want to come and plenty will want to leave. That includes players, members and crowds (as they are).

At least O'Donovan did score....though he missed a lot of sitters too.

That's a really big issue at the moment. For one, we're suspecting that we're having to pay players more than they're worth which is might be why we're paying the cap for an NPL squad.

Even as a losing team, we can be an attractive proposition if players feel that they will be better off after playing with us - we can develop players while getting smashed, and players - especially ones trying to develop/rebuild their career - will still want to play for us.

Problem is, we've lost the ability to develop these players - looking at how all the players are going that we've released, shows that we're no longer the club that's good at developing these players.

We definitely need to sort out our spine and defense first.

Keeper, CB and 10 I think should be priorities. With quality there and what we already have I believe we have the feet, across the team, to put in goals. No golden boot contenders but Murray, Simon, Pain, Oar and possibly Millar can score between them.

Games going forward must have Murray, Millar (credit to them both for taking their opportunities) Pain, Hiariej and maybe Oar in the starting 11.
