ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Squad - HAL 14 - 2018- 2019 - The challenge for Mike Mulvey is over

Curious thing was there were a couple of NBN News cars down there interviewing someone behind the sheds, I could see the cameras and Interviewers but couldn’t see who they were talking to.
Pretty sure was Mulvey. See club statement about the game in game thread and Josh has put up the video above

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
Well, he said a ton of things he said before, I don't mind, I'm just sick of being treated like a mushroom, cause I dunno about anybody else but my membership is a bit of a struggle most years, so I'd like to stop thinking I'm blowing my disability pension on a team that can't get over the line

10 minute Mulvey interview. For me, he goes through all the cliche's and l learnt nothing new.
Tom H. “He’s in the right frame of mind now he really wants to play”. Was the only thing interesting in a lot of regurgitated BS.
He certainly sidestepped the tough questions. Interviewer at least asked them but didn’t have the confidence to push hard.

The use of the word luck is making me angry. It’s not luck. It’s poor players, poor defence and poor game plans. There is nothing unlucky about being dominated each week

The more and more I think about this Tommy/Mulvey situation. The more I’m beginning to come to the same conclusion. And it’s been mentioned on here a few times.
I believe 100% that Mulvey tried to tell Tom the same he told Wout. “I don’t want you, I want my own D grade players probably from Thailand where I’m bringing a big black Malian CB that thinks he’s a DM who really wants to retire”.
Wout, who I agree and the man him self said Australia was an “adventure” ie; holiday. But still one of the best foreigners to play for us, despite not seeing the best of him. Would’ve been sick of the shit from Okon, remembering he was apparently the one who originally called bullshit on that fiasco. Went back to the very respectful Dutch top flight. With his reputation intact.

Whereas Tommy H, this isn’t an adventure for him. He’s one of many of our foreigners to fall in love with our area and lifestyle and genuinely wants to help our tiny club with his vastly superior football, said “I’m not going anywhere”. And Mulvey has taken that one bad 45minutes from Tom and used it as an excuse to be an absolute c**t and shot himself in the foot. Then Tom actually did get a minor injury.

Now HOPEFULLY Mulvey has seen sense. And along with Aspro back we might see some intelligent defensive structure and decent ball possession.

I spoke to Tom a few weeks back and he said he wants to stay on the coast, this is his home. Also said he has had offers from Brisbane & melb and if he’s not getting game time he would unfortunately leave and play for one of these sides.

What an awful interview. Could see where it was trying to go but was just awkward and a bit confusing. Anyhoo.

The interview today repeating the same lines we’ve heard about the window didn’t sound encouraging. I was hoping we’d resolve the Ross situation and strike decisively on our targets to give us something to hope for. Now I’m hoping they’re saving some good news for after the Sydney game/avoiding the distraction prior to that game but that seems optimistic.

Key take outs...
-We high hopes of drawing a game soon
-We arent a car crash even though we seem like one
- Tom H has been "injured"
Hmmmm..........

Someone is LYING.

Tommy reports that he is fit and keen as mustard to play and wants to show his best.
Muley reports that Tommy has an injured calf (calf injuries are not serious in my experience)

One of them is a LIAR.

My money is on the keen as mustard quality professional rather than the jaded half arsed coach....what about you?

Calf injuries in over 30s are delicate and persistent in my experience. Worse than hammies.
However, that's semantics. I agree he sounds fit. So who is lying......?

Im with @Wombat

If God says he's fit to play
..... then he's fit to play !

Why would God decieve his brethren ? :innocent:

Seems they might save any team news until after the game tonight.
My concern is that news will be that we're losing McCormack, Pain, Millar, Rowles and maybe O'Neill.
