ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Squad - HAL 14 - 2018- 2019 - The challenge for Mike Mulvey is over

I think Mulvey gave a big hint when he mentioned that Visa players had a disadvantage as they had to wait x amount of weeks to clear a working visa before they could play.

I guess the catch would be if a player already had a visa.
Does anyone know if a visa to play would only be allowed for a particular employer - like a spp sorship visa? And how long does it last?
For instance, would Berisha still be covered by a visa from his Victory days? Or could we recruit another teams player who is released if they are currently playing under a visa?

Not sure on the visa question but Besart is now an Aussie citizen and wouldn't need to worry about a visa

This constant rebooting of the same failed plan must surely be ringing alarm bells somewhere?

Hypothesis:
We continue losing, Mulvey leaves the club, an interim coach is put in place, no new signings in January as we want to give the new coach (when appointed) a free hand.
Get spoon
New coach in off season
Hype and lies start again.
Collection of has beens and new coach's mates get signed
Meanwhile, whatever half decent youth we have (Glassock, Kekeris, Nisbett) leave for clubs that value them
Sick of it to be honest

Seems to me like MC has been waiting for "The New A-League" and looking at that as better opportunity to invest - either himself, or by selling to someone else. Guess we will find out, or it will be another repeat of the steps FFC outlined. The process starting in pre-season next season of course, giving us another season without a pre-season because time is needed to scope out a coach, players, etc.

Went down to see if any new boys were at training today, got there at 11:30 and they were all packed up and gone. Only Matt Nash and Monty there locking up. Curious thing was there were a couple of NBN News cars down there interviewing someone behind the sheds, I could see the cameras and Interviewers but couldn’t see who they were talking to.

I'm curious to know exactly when the January transfer window opens.
I've seen both January 3 and January 4 used as starting dates for Australia.
Definitely 3rd. I posted a link to FIFA in a thread but not sure where. Things can be announced when ever they want but paper work can’t be lodged until the 3rd

1. They are under the NZ government
2. It’s called planning. If you had a player lined up already you’d already have applied. We either not that smart or don’t have one lined up prior to the window or we could be being lied to. Take your pick

I don't think the council cares. Idk anything except snippets of things l have heard, but the council is anti-Mariners l believe.
I think there's still a load of dinosaurs there who really believe the Central Coast Bears will get a run in the NRL, in spite of the NRL saying no they won't.
