ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Yep just a flat 442 with WeeMac on the right. Could also be a 433 with WeeMac central and Simon playing right off a central striker. That position would actually suit the 2npl boys we've got as well and Hoole. There are so many options from midfield forward it's not funny. It's a very attacking side though.
3-5-2 could provide a solution of sorts but it doesn’t come without its own risks. I think this is why we have seen a number of different formations in pre-season, in that MMM is still working out what suits the team best.

Re Gallegos, I note from the article that he trialed for 2 months with Sydney and scored in their first trial match. Would be a visa player. Allegedly decent but you are right, another winger??

Never heard of this Gallegos but l think we're sorted with wingers and Oar and McCormack would finish off the squad nicely. Not sure what we need him for.

Also he would take our only remaining visa spot if McCormack is confirmed, so he would need to be bloody good.

Geeze, last night I dreamt we had the Thai Messi (Chanathip Songkrasin) signed, along with a ManU vintage Jaap Stam. An omen?

Looking at the squad would say Mike is building around a 3 5 2 or 5 3 2 formation depending on your slant. If we are going to play with wingbacks and expect them to do a lot of up and down then having replacements on the bench makes sense which is why I am guessing we have a number of wide players on the books, will probably use 4 per game as when the 2 starters are gassed we will replace from the bench.

Turns out we are playing 2 games tomorrow. 1 against North Shore l am guessing in the afternoon and of course against CCU at 7pm. Squad depth to be tested.
