Do we have our striker yet

No .......... but newcastle have. Brazillian sounds very good to mate with petratos and co. Perth have grabbed ikonomidas making four socceroos in their lineup ??? .
On paper I feel we are not top 6 material at this stage ............ but if oar and mcCormack materialise, and mm concedes and parks the bus ......... anything can happen on the break if simon stays onside .......... eh!!!.

I don't think so. However Truthful Jones told me at the Woy Woy pub last night, that Wombat is being sounded out to put the boots back on and be the lead striker for the first half hour or so. He can kick the !!!!! out of the defence and then bring on someone else. Has merit Wombats got a mean kick on him.

Sounds like a plan :vhappy::vhappy:.
Doubt he will do it for nothing ............ let’s start a “ fund him” campaign and call for donations from the fans.:shoutclap::shoutclap:
I’ll start it off ......... I’llput in my used aldi casks ......... all of them ........... and two buckets of unicorn poo ....... sorry ........ fertilizer per week

I know ........ I know it’s very generous ......... but you did say he had a mean kick :cool::cool::cool:

Oar and McCormack takes our off-season acquisitions (not including Bolt) from passable to a good one
Assuming they happen.
We need this, given the strong recruitment across the league. I have a feeling that even with these two good acquisitions we will struggle more than expected. Its exciting for the league, it reminds of where the league was at 10 years ago.

I am assuming the Ross signing, l believe Oar is a done deal.

I feel like this season will be a of a higher standard. I reckon Victory will be back to dominating and Perth are a dark horse. They have a very good side.

Perth always look good on paper. The travelling can't help them.....ditto the Nix.
I agree with Victory though think it's a much more open comp this year.

Oar arriving in Sydney tonight apparently. Signing must be close. Would be good if McCormack is on the same flight. :)

hhhhhhmmmmm rrrrrr aaaa

HHHMMMMM Ok The above squad looks the strongest we have had in a long time if Oar & McCormack rumours come to fruition.

HOWEVER I wanta look at what I term the gamble players and if the gamble pays off we have a very competitive side.

MM signed 4 players with injuries, and 3 in particular we have no idea I guess the extent of the injury.. I assume he got medical advise and has taken the gamble.

Golec is a solid player and gave his all last year and if was a leg / ankle break which most recover from.

However in Gamerio, Shabow , & Aspropotamitis we have 3 very talented players who media reports in the past have said future Socceroo for all of them. IF & I repeat IF these 3 return to their pre injury form we have a very talented and well balanced side.

In a weird kinda way having Bolt around for these kids could be great at showing them will and determination...

So I hope all 4 return to there best, but in Gamerio, Shabow , & Aspropotamitis reach pre injury form them we are in for a good year..

Meaning when MM signed on early on, David McGinness as a Physiotherapist for the team I think was a good move to help these guys regain their form.

Perth have had strong teams without success for the history of the A-leauge, the difference this season will be the change of coach, I have them as favourites.

Very interesting recruiting ............ even ours. I don’t think we are a chance of finals with our defense the obvious weakness .............. but will be hard to beat if we park the bus with a chance of a goal.
Victory have obviously their eyes on the acl which might mean them resting their strongest squad before and during the acl.
Sfc will once again be pace setters I fear.
Wanderers look to have strengthened where they failed last season.
Jets are going to be tough now they have a target striker and when they get o’donovan back .......... shit ???
Glory have the team and the coach to overcome their difficult game conditions and travel. Away games for the rest of the league will be hell.
Adelaide have also plugged their gaps very well.
Melb city have built better than last seasons and look awesome on paper.
Roar are also up there with good recruiting and have learnt from last season’s problems.
Pheonix I think have a lot yet to build ..............but they don’t have simon................. but burns is even worse.

It’s going to be a long season even without okon* ............ but there is still plenty of interest for me. Player developement, mm’s coaching style and somebody other than hoole to take the set pieces :)
