Absolutely. This is the 10-15 goal a year striker we have been yearning for.

Potentially -
............................BK..........................
.........Cisse.......Golec........Clisby.
.............O'Neill.....Tommy H.................
..Hoole............Weemac..........Oar.......
.........................Matty................................
....................McCormack.........................

Which leaves the conundrum of Pain on the bench. Any serious top six team would realistically have the player strength to leave both Hoole and Pain on the bench.

As pointed out we still look a little frail at the back and we have the two worst goalkeepers in the league, but things are looking up.

A 10-15 goal a season striker finally. Would be a great signing. Scored more than a few for City and looked out of shape. Imagine what he could do when fully fit.

Almost a competitive squad

I'm pretty happy if McCormack comes in that midfield and attack are sorted, but l am still iffy on the defence and goalkeepers. Mulvey going for the ''we'll just score more than you'' mantra.

Oar and McCormack would significantly change this squad. Still completely unbalanced but a first 11 that doesn't have such a large gap to the top of the ladder. Also has goals in it.

Massive signing if true. It is reported that he earns $4m a season with Villa, I can see Melbourne City being able to afford a loan deal but not us.

Maybe the Bolt circus has already bought in some $$$$ and pikey has decided to reward the loyal fans rather than stuffing his pockets.

Hahahahaha

Not all loan deals mean the wages are paid by the loaning club. Maybe we’d pay a monthly fee or even a one off fee of some kind.

I would be more than stoked if we manage to get Ross and Oar in, we’d be top heavy but you can’t argue with their quality.

Being released by villa at 32. I doubt 4 mill is a likely again. If we get him for a short preaseason, full season and finals thats maybe 35wks, so I'd say he's looking at 50000 a wk still or shy of 2mill. Surely some marquee fund left for him and given his impact In the league already might cost us a mill?

I would take that. I think we are just short on a RB. Cisse, Aspro, Golec, Clisby, Rowles, are all decent defenders. McGing has also proved adequate there.

Totally. Pencil in a starting 11 with those 2 and you get pretty excited. Take them out and although not too shabby it's not too much to get excited about. Competitive rather than exciting. It's those 2 or 3 quality signings that win games. What i do like about the likes of Oar and McCormack is that they have performed well in the A league before so will fit in much quicker than those that haven't. Now getting a tad nervous in case it all falls through.

I agree, maybe some of this new Bolt revenue has been put to immediate use?
Anyone wish to revisit their response to my red herring post a while back?
I'm not aiming this at anyone Josho or suggesting that there's any more validity to it cause I had no idea that any of this would happen.

Depends I guess on what Vila pay.

With Oar and if the gamble injury players stay fit, we have a competitive squad.

I’ll get excited when they put pen to paper.
Sounds a very un Pikey signing.

That said we are finally being talked about with decent players that the bigger squads are usually tied to.

Would be a solid team that should win games if happens but will still get pumped every now and then

Foxsports are using the article but have said Oar is still on the books of Opoel so would need a release.

Can’t clubs still loan out after the window has shut just not bring in. Is our window still open
