Pearce is on a scholarship contract anyway isn't he? If so he doesn't count for a registration spot.

Pearce is on a full A League contract - Gauci is on a scholarship and is miles away from being ready for A League. Hopefully that will change and he will reach the potential that the coaches obviously see in him by playing a full NYL season.

Why would we loan him to another NPL club (which there's no provision for unless we loan him to Sydney or WSW and they play him in NPL). Unless he gets the no 1 spot over Kennedy and Pearce he will play in the NPL after the NYL season.

There's some movement with Melbourne City goal keepers. Looks like Mark Birighitti is coming their way, which means they will offload Dean Bouzanis or Eugene Galekovic. It would be good to secure Galekovic as a mentor/No.1, in the same way as we looked at Theo earlier.

Bouzanis already signed with PEC Zwolle and believe getting Eugene out of his Melbourne homecoming would be hard!

At present the Mariner`s play in NSW NPL2....
If we were to loan him to an NPL club...(slightly higher standard) he would get more game time.
He could still train with us 3 day`s per week if he played in the Sydney NPL or the NNSW NPL

That would be the striker we've all been hoping for. 14 goals last season. If we get him then I'll officially be excited about the next season. We'll probably be short one defender really, but aside from that starting to look pretty good. Lacking a bit of depth, but we can't expect everything in a rebuild year
