ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Squad - HAL 14 - 2018- 2019 - The challenge for Mike Mulvey is over

There is no way that McGing and Hoole will be under threat whilst Millar and McDonald are there. Neither of them are up to A League standard although Millar at least is something to work with (he's closer to HAL than Bolt atm). Aspro will not play RB unless Mulvey works miracles with him - he is more likely to play CB over Cisse than RB over McGing.

Yeah Millar looked raw. Strong and a good competitor. But clearly needs more time.

I'm hanging out for any signing news now. The team clearly needs its remaining preseason time to gel so getting everyone in as soon as possible will be invaluable

Yep. Six weeks lead in seem vital. So everyday I’m haunting this thread.

What do people now think is our top priority? Still another striker? Or CAM?

I'd still like a top quality RB. Glen Johnson is still clubless i think. :) Another striker would obviously be a biggie.......we need someone who can almost guarantee us 10-15 goals. I think we can compete pretty well with who we have but don't think we have the firepower up front to win games on a regular basis. I think we will see stellar seasons from both Matty and Corey but we will be lucky to get 10-15 from the combined.

If this is true it’s a brilliant signing. And puts pressure on Pain. Which hoping gives him the kick up the arse to go to the next level.

Also, would probably make Mulvey more inclined to stick with playing wingers... Oar being an out and out winger.. which suits us more than wingbacks as we have 95 natural wingers

Oar can play both - a bit like Wee-Mac. I like it - gives us a lot of options - still need that prolific striker and a CB/RB

I rate Tommy Oar, and someone who can put in proper crosses and balls onto Mattys head is terrific, but struggling to understand our midfield plans with Weemac, Hoole, Pain, McDonald, Kekeris, central midfield seems so bare in comparison unless weemac is at ten. Surely not Pain at 10?
Oar maybe... but he’s still a winger?

Can he? I never saw that as being in his kit bag. Seems too one footed and is nothing special on the ball.
