If true he is mad sorta following the mistakes by David Carney & Millgan in they kept chasing clubs when they should have stayed an extra season ...

If DDS wants to go let him, was as disappointing as Brama was. Started the season well but went downhill as soon as results did. Still only 21 so has plenty of time to grow, but if he goes, it gives Mulvey a chance to go out and get a 10 who may be better.

Would prefer to keep him but if wants out let him go, Wales has shown he is more than capable as a 10. Bring in someone like Panny Nikas or Dusan Bosnjak as experienced back up.

DDS.
21 games
1,755 min
3 goals
1 assist
1 secondary assist.

1 massive flop. Played like the $150k we paid

I only want people who 100% want to be here and I can’t blame DDS for wanting out. Yes he under performed. But so did most and he took a risk and came here and lived out a career nightmare.

No NT callup. No lime light or career progression and he’s gone backwards on field. It’s a huge step backwards in every way. And with us spending low again. The only reason he would think things might change is Mulvey. Another huge risk and several other clubs offer much safer pathways for him to look to rebuild his form and career trajectory.

That will be in his head so he’s probably not going to be the right psychological fit for us tbh. I think it’s very likely that after he came back from his Asian tourney (because his form was never the same) he was probably depressed at his fortunes and regretted his decision. We had no one who could score. He knew it by then. And I think several players did, and he knew what it meant... we would not do well and it was going to be a long hard season.

And again on his form, what ten does well with no decent striker to feed, struggling wingers and constantly unsettled DM’s behind him,

Also with DDS it’s the first season he’s actually played in a long time so fatigue could of played apart but he was not used very well but he may not have the gumption to get us back to the promise land.

Maybe FP is right he’s the pretty diamond that gets all the compliments but needs a sturdy ring around it to hold it in place which we didn’t hav in coach and personal

DDS is going to be a star player one day. The CCM of old would have been a great place to play but now some other team might be better.

I would want to keep DDS. We never replaced McGlinchey as a good No. 10 and we have been hurting ever since imo. Danny could fill this role admirably given the right circumstances.

We wouldn't get a fee anyway, we don't own his registration

My understanding is that we do. However, apparently there is a clause that gives Roma first and last offer for him. If we do own his registration we would be stupid to sell him anywhere but OS with an appropriate sell-on clause attached. Anyway the Covert Agent only has about a 25% hit rate. I can make up rumours with a better hit rate than that.

Wales is the back up. IMHO we either keep DDS or buy someone of the same quality. I'd like to keep him.

If Vinnie is shopping him around to aleague clubs after the first year of a 3 year contract we'd have to release him or swap.
So either Mulvey is on board, Vinnie is a prick, or it is not true.
I hope it is the last option.

I wonder if someone who has never put in a hard tackle is the right fit for us in midfield....

Liam Rose, Lachie Wales spring to mind.

DDS never shirked a tackle, in fact he probably punched above his weight.

DDS has it all apart from good finishing. DDS, Baro, Tom and probably Wout are the only starting 11 quality we have ATM.

Definitely, DDS put in as hard or harder than most this season
