Reading between the lines the 3rd keeper will be young but talented.
Exactly
Ben is the older statesman so thats what he brings
Adam is young and inexperienced
So the third needs to quality but I'd say younger. Say 22-24

How old is glover

Funny announcement
We know you won't like him but he's gonna be no 2 unless we stuff up with who we think is no 1

Pretty embarrassing that you have to write that in his signing.

Would have preferred Ivan any day.

Kennedy was a star for the jets before he had that nasty collision. Has never really got back to what he was but isn't the worst keeper we could have signed. Was kept out of the 11 at the jets by a great young keeper

No such thing at Newcastle ;)

He's in yellow now so gets my support unless he plays poorly. Here's hoping Paolo and you are right

Glover is 19. The other whisper is Alex Cisak - but he is 28 - so that doesn't really fit Paolo's narrative.

Anyway 16 in - 6 or 7 still to be announced assuming no departures of contracted players. Of those you would expect 4 at least to be potential first XI players - GK, LB, #10 and striker. Still plenty to look forward to.

Straight from the 5th Tier in England, doesn't exactly scream "I'm better than what we had". Surely a smarter option would have been to throw a bit of extra coin to Izzo (who was happy to stay) and kept Ivan (who from all accounts wanted to stay and is a proven A-league quality backup keeper).

Leyton were nearly in championship only a few years ago (13/14?) and Cisak was their man. Probs too loyal with a club in free fall.
I would have liked izzo to stay with the massive improvement he had at the club but we move on now. I think Cisak is a good age if Pearce is the long term option (personally I'm not currently a fan though)

This doesn't make for good reading, nor fill me with confidence. If he signs, I hope to be proves me wrong, but a journeyman gloveman (playing only 187 games in 10 years) of the English lower leagues does not install confidence that he is the answer.

Great pick-up if true. Solid goalkeeper with 150+ matches at League One/ Two level and still only 28 years old. Was also in the Socceroos squad for World Cup qualifiers only 2 years ago. Has chosen to play at that level rather than sit on the bench in the EPL (which he did for Burnley for a while).

Did I miss something? Rumours about Izzo to Adelaide was floating around since March yeah? I thought it was pretty much a given that he was gone, at least at a reasonable price point?
Certainly didn't get the impression that Paolo would've been particularly keen to part ways with him.

He was happy to stay, club wouldn't meet his valuation (which was apparently a very minimal upgrade to bring him inline with other starting keepers) and Adelaide made an offer. Now we have Kennedy & Pearce signed, and someone that has "chosen to play at League One/Two Level" rather than fight for a spot higher up the food chain.

I'd be happy with Cisak. Good experience, great age for a keeper who is still improving. The lower leagues in England are still good standard and he will be tougher for the experience. I liked Izzo but we will be stronger with Cisak. The spine is looking alot stronger if he signs along with Baro and Tommy H.

Personally think Cisak is worth it, you don't make a Socceroos squad as a goalkeeper if you're not of a decent standard.

Wonder what plan is for 2nd LB. had him pencilled in, in my mind. Golec maybe and sign another CB.
Or is there a yoof player who looks the goods?
Also doesn't bode well for bingas. Hasn't been reported as having a new contract.
