ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Slightly worrying that Trent's deal is only to the end of the season. Him being snached away from us by another A-League club would be painful.

The reason I suggested we need a new keeper is not for how many goals he has been directly responsible for but for his lack of speed, mobility and his real lack of control of the box over both games. Izzo is not the answer. Ivan is a useful back up but not a first pick A-League keeper any more.
Quite a few of our players would have been A-League standard in past seasons but not now. The league has progressed over the last few years and the standard now is quite a fair bit higher.

Peanuts gets u monkeys Mike.

Necevski had a blinder then a shocker. I personally think the first game was a lot closer to his norm than the SFC one. Occasion clearly got to him.

Very typical of our squad last year.
Roux and Neill were classic one good one bad, just never good on the same day.

Agree the occasion got to him which is a worry, you want guys who excel in that situation.

Paul made the big call with Hutch, would be interesting to see if he perseveres. Hutch didn't have what Paul wanted as a No 2 so the rest of his staff may come under scrutiny as the year goes on

I tend to disagree, I thought he made some great saves, but his mobility and his control of the area left a lot to be desired in both games.
Maybe we have been spoiled having Crawley, Danny and then Matt in terms of aggressive keepers.

Liam and Trent definitely need to be locked down ASAP

You can be sure Paul is aware of this and keen
Hope so.

I would be looking to tie down those two, plus Roy, Pain, Powell and maybe Posco and Storm. I am afraid I cannot see much (either through age or lack of ability) to recommend others for the future. I hope there will be others.

this would be my must keep list too. Mayyybe Bingham and Taveres if they prove themselves.

This is all just so far. I'm hoping the likes of Appiah, Berry etc. pleasantly surprise

Hey FP could you clarify what you meant by "Occasion clearly got to him".
Do you mean playing 2 full games in a row or playing against his old team?

On the little I have seen of him Adelson looks to be worth re-signing. He's done both ACL's now so should be fine.;)

Hmmm.....always good to say.......we used to be a good team you know.

I remember when we didn't concede 4 goals every game.

Don't laugh son......BUT they used to call CCM a fortress.
