Where's Yousseff Hersi? Haven't seen him since end of last season with Perth. Him or Flores? Marcos loves the A-League

Went off to make a movie with Tom Hanks didn't he?

Really like that idea. He's under rated. Thought Wanderes were crazy to let him go to Perth. Was as key (or even more so) to their initial success as Ono was - but didnt get all the fox fapping.

He never managed to cause us too many problems, although I admit he's a good player. A bit too fond of straight reds for my liking though.

He's not exactly a #10 either is he?... Isn't Trent supposed to give us cover for Fab, so we've already got cover where Hersi would go?
Also, I thought he'd slowed down quite a bit by the time he went to Perth?

I'm a bit surprised there's been no news of Fitzy signing anywhere. I presumed when he asked for a release he had something lined up. Or have I missed the news?

Even his Twitter account still has Mariners stuff on it.

Mariners coach Tony Walmsley has confirmed rising star Anthony Caceres may be sold but will look to sign two attacking players in the January window, perhaps as early as next week.

“Negotiations are underway with overseas players internationally and domestically. There will be signings in the front third," Walmsley told reporters on Thursday.

So from what TW said on YAPC, we are signing a striker which would now be a given is Mathew Fletcher. He also said we needed some cover on the left. Would this be..

Rumour of Brad MacDonald coming back. Always thought he was underrated and with Micky Neill potentially moving positions to midfield we will need cover there.

Did I hear correctly that he also said that there was a #10 visa player with A League experience (and above) who an offer had been made and was undergoing a medical? Hersi would seem to fit this description and is currently a free agent, but for the sake of pure speculation how about Danny Sanchez, Vitor Saba, Liam Miller, Jeronimo Neumman or Yojiro Takahagi?

TW also said there were some genuine discussions occurring with a marquee/guest player. ??

Love hearing from the players and club via YAPC.

Sim could depart Mariners for Asia

Central Coast Mariners Midfielder Matt Sim could be the latest player to leave Australia and pack his bags for Asia.

Sim is unwanted at the A-League club and is off contract at the end of the 2015-2016 season.

The 27-year old has not played for the Mariners in their past two fixtures after being left out of the squad for the Wellington Phoenix tie, along with Anthony Caceres and Nick Fitzgerald.

It is believed that Sim could leave Central Coast during the January transfer window with a move to a club in Asia most likely.

The Thai Premier League, Malaysian Super League and the Japanese second-division are all potential destinations.

Formerly with Manly United and the Sutherland Sharks, Sim was brought to the Mariners in 2014 by Phil Moss. The left-sided player has scored two goals in six games this season. In total he has made 31 career appearances for the Central Coast.

I would have liked to see him have more game time...but then I don't know what goes on at training

Based on contracts at the beginning of the season I thought Walmsley was pretty stuck with a team not of his own making and it was going to take years for him to build his own. It appears he is getting to clear out the cobwebs earlier than I'd hoped for in truth
