Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Squad - HAL 11 - 2015/2016

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
A breakout season and we could have hoped for twice that. But the way he was playing might have been worth half that in a years time, or just gone on a free in 18 months.
indeed, the slackarse appeared to be going backwards, of course that could of been him having the irrits with the new style, but as Ive stated before, he aint done a whole lot for me since he scored that cannon v the jests....I hope he excels out of sight now and makes a few quid along the way......Fare thee well

Ill come up with one with no knowledge of anything like it happening but it's the transfer window.

Tony mentioned o/s strikers both o/s and here domestically.

Would Koren from City fit that description.

City are full on o/s quota and Koren is their Marquee and not even getting a run. They could pay him out or something and do us a favour for the Caceras deal to take him off their books. Problem would be paying for him so need some MV accountants help.
Highly unlikely but he could fit experience and play 10 or striker.

The NIX have been saved so none of their players for next year

Oh sweet Jesus not Koren. He could care less about the A-League and is here to pick up his last paycheck.

Very interesting goings on over the past few weeks.

I do think both Fitzy and Caceras may have made a very stupid decision that could end their careers. I hope it is not just based on their friendship or was influenced by disgruntled ex players or coaches for their own reasons. Mickey Neil has shown them what you should do when dropped from the team. He has worked hard, kept his head down and fought his way back into the squad.

I think Fitzy will be pretty much finished at professional level, Caceras needs a significant attitude change and probably also needs to realise that the $ city have spent on him is about a couple of weeks wages for 1 of their superstars so they aren't going to be too concerned about if he makes it or not and will leave him languishing somewhere without too much thought.

Interesting choice for the last couple in the group as can't see their careers carrying on past us so it could certainly be a case of some very over inflated ego's costing them their change at a longer football career.

Does anyone know why James Holland has been on the coast lately?

He did a training session with Brice and seems to have been around Terrigal alot, just curious.

f**k no not Judas

On the podcast TW alluded to a #10 with overseas experience

Really more of a DM that goes missing a lot. Also said that the #10 needed a fitness test. They would not need that if it was Judas since he was just training with Brice

TW said it was a visa player with A-league experience. Short term deal. What's the bet its Flores again? He doesn't have a club at the moment.

Love to have Musti back!!

I'd be ridiculously surprised if Randers decided to release him. They've been OK so far this season and he's been starting, except for after he got carded.

A bit nervous about the thought of Flores but I think it'd be a fairly popular signing and could be interesting with us not replying exclusively on him to do all the work.

That's who I thought of. While he is a better #10 and can hold the ball up his style of play doesn't exactly fit the '10 seconds of fury' ethos. Musti on the other hand is a lot more direct. We certainly could have used either of them when the boys tired in Geelong though.

The experience left sided player could be David Williams.

As for a guest striker ??? After this coming round there are 11 games plus 3 finals (very optimistically 14 games). MC talked about getting people sponsored in the previous podcast. A high profile guest, if they fitted, when we have 6 home games including 4 against NSW opposition could pack the place.

The podcast also made it sound like the Stella signing was only intended to be short term until the end of the season.

A stunning move to Manchester City is yet to be finalised for disillusioned Central Coast midfielder Anthony Caceres, his manager says.
https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/30564305/city-deal-not-yet-done-caceres-agent/

F**k me, how many ways can they come up with, to say that we're at the bottom of the table? o_O

Anyway, what's going on with that agent? A week ago the club said that they'd agreed terms with City Group and the agent came out and said something along the lines of "be that as it may, no deal is done because we haven't signed anything"
This week, he's out there saying "We've done OUR bit, but no deal's been done because the club's not finalised the dealings" - make up your bl**dy mind man.
