Isn't that how Nix finally got their hands on McWhizzel
Wow good point. I'd already happily forgotten about that.
ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!
If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.
ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

my understanding was that a player could buy out their own contract. If your next employer just happened to add that exact amount into your new contract...I didn't think any money at all, was supposed to change hands between the clubs?
It's a measly offering, to my mind, but someone suggested that he was one of the more likely sources of the game plan leak to Sydney if that's the truth, good riddance and hopefully he'll eventually end up somewhere that he'll learn some lessons about morals - not sure that's Sydney FC though
I'd rather Cac go to Japan than a rival.Lol @ Soccer Stoppage time
Apparently Fitz has asked for a release and Captain of Peahearts FC, Caceres is off to... Japan... Or a top 4 club but is waiting for MC to get back to him.
Agent working hard to get him out of our NYL side.
Apparently this was the situation when Cac got told to train separately and he wasn't pleased with how TW handled it. Not sure I'd have acted terribly differently if I were coach but you never know what really goes on.
67 top level games, 5069 minutes for 3 goals and 1 assist. the same output as Flores in 12 games and 850 minutes.

It was Tony Rallis - Caceres's manager making the claims. I wonder if the clubs looking at him have looked at his stats. 67 top level games, 5069 minutes for 3 goals and 1 assist. the same output as Flores in 12 games and 850 minutes.
I'm with you on this - if it all turns out to be true.Exactly. Blown my mind how this could be seemingly ignored for so long. Sure, some stats can be misleading. But you'd have to be crazy to look at those stats and still try and maintain that he can even play 10 at HAL level, let alone that he is actually a really good one. Fancy feet sure does buy you a lot of grace.
I don't believe for one second that he or Fitz were separated from the squad for no good reason. How could anyone believe that TW is just so utterly thick that he likes to randomly exclude players from training sessions or just because he's going with a different staring 11? What utter garbage. Not to mention that Hutch has a loyalty streak a mile wide and would never sit idle if players and friends were being unfairly treated.
But they honestly now expect us to believe this is just two poorly treated players reactions, when Caceres manager is a renowned prick who has been agitating for a good while. Caceres has been playing like he doesn't give a shit for weeks. There have been constant rumours of "4 or 5 players wanting to leave" and going to use the super payment delays as their out, and we just happen to be spooning.
Or... could it just possibly be, that you were made to train separately because it was confirmed you were an ingrate brat looking to abandon your club, team, coach and fans, right when they needed you most?
I expect the training session exclusion occurred directly after the two players notified the club of their desire to be released or told their team mates they were going to do so. Standard procedure for many clubs.
I expect at the very latest Caceres, Fitz and their agents made their minds up they were going after our big loss to Sydney and very likely a few well placed words from GA.
So what do you say...
I've wished most long standing Mariners well when they left us. But what do you say about two players that feel no loyalty for a club that has believed in them, given them all their major opportunities, paid their wages, investing in their future even though they continued to fail to live up to their purported potential.
How do you abandon the coach who has backed you, even when you were shite. The same coach that made you successful in your youth. His assistant, your former captain. You current captain. Your team mates (which is supposed to mean something) and who are in their direst hour of need, but you would rather run away instead of stepping up to help turn it around? I couldn't sleep at night.
In truth, I'm very sorry to see Fitz leave like this. I'm sure there has been a long list of people in his ear. And maybe the writing seemed to be on the wall for you Fitz... You're not a striker or a ten, and you should never start over Austin or Fab. But I just can't see this move helping your career, because looking at the other HAL teams rosters, it's hard to believe they would even be close to starting you. You will not get better with even less game time somewhere else. And I'm thoroughly pissed off that now you're most endearing memory for me will not be your engine or spirited effort or grit after yet another knock, but as a judas.
As to Caceres...
You know, I watched some of Caceres pre season training, and I never said a word about what I saw even when he was frustrating the shit out of me and it confirmed what I feared, because I still couldn't imagine it being helpful, but I watched Caceres blatantly shirking a conditioning exercise that all the others were enduring (and no it was not injury related before anyone suggests it) and it stuck in my gut. It was the reason I started paying careful attention to him during all games and and not just following the play. I had sincerely hoped I might see that it was just an off day for him, but his obvious short comings off the ball quickly began to stick out.
I'm not going to wish you ill Caceres. I don't need to. You're already your own worse enemy, and your agent seems enough of a curse for anyone. But like a certain cancelled grand final, I'm happy to never speak of you, except to boo and jeer if your traitorous feet ever find themselves on our hallowed ground again.
I'm with you on this - if it all turns out to be true.
A lot of this is still unconfirmed rumour except for the Caceres stuff which is firming up with evidence by the day.
I still have my doubts about Gatty's more recent inside knowledge. Since Arnold left he seems to be more getting told stuff than actually in the know.
For example:
- 3:05 PM - 30 Dec 2015
Ray Gatt @Gatty54 30 Dec 2015
Hearing of Some interesting goings on at the Mariners concerning a recent training session.
- 6:14 PM - 30 Dec 2015
Michael Kmet @Marinermick 30 Dec 2015
@Gatty54 Today? Was at training and nothing out of the ordinary happened.
