All those ❌ !!! Ahhhh the nay-sayers ...
He's a good shot-stopper, no doubt. But poor at coming out for the crosses - prefering to punch than catch
and as previously stated, gets a B+ at best in distribution from the back.
BUT,
Reddy
was a dick-head,
always has been a dick-head AND is
STILL proving he's a dick-head! as well as proving me right as to his worthiness to be 'Captain' of a CCM side with an injured Monty.
The clich'e says: "That he who laughs last, wins".
I've chuckled
, but this is NO laughing matter and far as being the winner?
Neither myself as a staunch fan, Reddy or the Club itself can raise a hand.
"Houston, we have a problem !!!"
Screw the PFA, the club HAS every right to remove him from the 1st Team as long as its by the current written rules; the '
Ebola' clause should be brought into effect immediately. Quarantine is a widely respected practice in both First and Third World countries.
Liam either comes to terms w/ the Club - (leave) & then can try to salvage his career somewhere else like the Ladyboy League in Thailand or some other half-arse Asian League where
washed up A-League players finish topping up their super-funds.
OR stubbornly sitting on the bench of Youth League 'just for the cash', will only be of detriment to him
& more importantly US! (personally, wouldn't even allow that to occur either).
'Pat Jennings' reposted my post on Walmsley trialling ex-Liverpool junior 'Oldfield' during the pre-season.
Some questioned why??? sign a 3rd keeper when we had young Izzo (an Olyroo!) & young Adam Pearce ???
Answer: Liam REDDY !!!
Playing poker, The Club should show it's hand and sign Chris Oldfield
NOW! Don't muck-about, it shows Reddy 'he's done', his place in the squad is already filled & that he should move on for the best interests of both parties.
Why Oldfield?
He'll be cheap,
real cheap! & Mike Charlesworth likes that.
That aside Walmsley trialled him so he saw
something he liked.
- Oldfield was last years Victorian NPL Goal Keeper of the Year,
- He's 6ft 2 & solidly built
- Great shot stopper- check his youtube form
- His Footballing Education- Liverpool spied him at just 12 yo. Stayed there all the way to making reserves and a 1st Team pre-season trip abroad before leaving at 18 yo, because he had one Pepe Reina at his prime in front of him. (There's this guy at Adelaide who's a Chelsea 'discard' who was found at Dulwich Hill, NSW & he's doing more than alright in the A-League, why can't we 'find' a similar in this Scouser ?
- Then he played for various lower league English clubs which to me, makes him more experienced than Izzo, b4 coming to Aus.
- Will be a non- visa player soon enough
- Lastly, his current NPL Hulme City coach, Lou Acevski (a former NSL Keeper with Northern Spirit) rates him highly and can't believe Oldfield's NOT playing A-League already ! (mainly due to visa) as, did I mention both Melb Victory & Melb City trialled him.
T'is but a NO BRAINER for me.
Sign the guy.
