Sounds like a very similar situation to when Ange took over at the Roar and look how that turned out.....lots of senior players cleared out and made to look very stupid.

If Reddy can't see the progress we have made under Wharmsley on the pitch but also the impact it has also made to the fans off the pitch and is destabilising things then you have to move him on.

It's a shame. Reddy will be a big loss and we are now very inexperienced at the back with little cover (assuming Boz is also on the outer). Gives a chance to Izzo though and hopefully he grabs it with both hands! My hopes of a top 6 though have waned a little, a young keeper will make a few mistakes and it will cost us some points. Long term we are better off. I think Reddy and Boz have felt threatened by the young players coming in ( who are probably getting preferential treatment as it's our policy to put them in the shop window), but they needed to man up and accept the challenge. Whatever has happened behind closed doors its a real shame as i was hoping all that was behind us. We need a good couple of weeks on the pitch.

Just noticed in an unrelated article:
"Goalkeeper Chris Oldfield’s Australian residency is being fast-tracked but coach Lou Acevski was doubtful the paperwork would be completed in time.
“I don’t believe his documents will come through for next Wednesday,” Acevski said."
http://www.fourfourtwo.com/au/news/ffa-cup-hume-call-superstar-exemption#:Vx7tzX0b8MHITA

So it looks like this Oldfield fellow's visa issue might disappear in just weeks instead of months mentioned earlier in an article in this post:

The PFA are doing exactly what they're paid to do - represent the interests of their member(/s). I've no issue with that and they should ensure that at no point are Reddy's lawful rights infringed under either his contract or the collective bargaining agreement that underpin it.

At the same time, the club has the right to manage its affairs. Their responsibility extends to ensuring that they follow due process at all times even if only to minimise risk, but also because if you want to have a "no dickheads policy", it helps to not be a dickhead and follow fair and reasonable processes.

We'll see how this plays out.

EDIT: slight edit to first paragraph for readability

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
So I guess Redders can be considered "serial" 4 clubs , 4 mind snaps...either that or his got undiagnosed ADHD...still, done a hell of a job between the sticks for us

Good shotstopper, decision making is still a little suspect and distribution is a long way short of the best going around.

Rumour on Instagram (I'm not on it and can't access to show link) one of the posters reckons its hutch who has a beef with Reddy and maybe behind the push. Poster reckons he knows first hand.

There was rumours last year of hutch not getting on with some. I think someone on here even mentioned hutch slagging off at the club or something.

My first reaction was he is only 2ic so doesn't have the power. But if he keeps telling walmsly he is disrespectful he will start to believe it and has to enforce authority of all coaching staff.

Could be an interesting side play here.

Anybody a little disappointed that Reddy might be going out this way?

At the start you would of expected it to be a blaze of non glory. Maybe more booze or something a little more self destructive.

I saw that on Facebook, thrown about by a commented on the CCMSC page I think... I don't know how much of it I believe... They might have a beef but, I don't really buy the series of events as being a result of that.
Sure, it could be a contributing factor but, consider the bits that we know... There were issues in off-season that lead to him being suspended for a week-or-two. When he was reinstated, he was put straight into the 1st team for the start of the season. He's played the first two games of the season... If there'd been some great conspiracy to bully/push him out, prior to him opening his big fat mouth, surely they would have been looking to take action a bit earlier/later than week 2 of the season.
Considering the amount of Hutch-hate that I saw in some of the responses, I expect that there's a bit of wet dreaming there as well - hoping to be able to lay the blame of all our ills at the feet of Hutch.

seems more like ideas being thrown around than the whole story. we know what we know, more will come out soon I'm sure.

Reddy is hardly hiding in his disagreement with club/coaches new philosophy and Hutch is the guy who has led for a long time in the change room and is instrumental in keeping team harmony. Of course he would have bloody had run ins trying to bring a clearly obstinate Reddy into line. He would have been the front line negotiator. Some people... f**k me. (Referring to FB Hutch hating stuff mentioned)

There are plenty of people who didn't think Hutch was our best option in a staring 11 as a player, some on here, and we've argued about it ad nauseum, that's normal, and in my opinion a big and enjoyable part of actually what being a fan is, but to have it in for Hutch now in his role is just stupidity, bordering on the ludicrously self destructive. He's renowned for keeping a great dressing room, leading by example, helping young players find their way, and new players settle in. And we know he knows football and bleeds yellow... Madness.

As to Reddy... (might be time to start calling him stomper again) we gave him a second chance that he may well have never received ever again. He paid back our faith by being a stand out Mariner over the past two seasons. However he was paid to do so, and to now turn around and start thinking it's more important to be the "I'm so honest and I don't even give a f**k guy" than support the clubs attempt to renew itself and play entertaining football...? Time to jog on seriously. The fact he's publicly complaining now, but happily kept his mouth shut in the press under Moss? That's just hilarious.

On Hutch being team coach (with TW being more a technical director), if Lawrie and Arnie see enough in him to back him and mentor him, thats good enough for me tbh.

In his pregame comments in the Kendall the other week, TW implied that some players who they thought were leaders were broken at boot camp. He said it surprised them a bit.

All teams( at any level) have falling out and rows. it happens and it happens a lot the higher you go.

We can only really speculate about what happened but I am prepared to back the management in this (last season? Not a chance)

Quite often there is friction when a team mate becomes a coach. Bit like when someone gets promoted at work and can't be the same person who used to muck around with you.
So wouldn't surprise.

The other thing is I hope it is Bosnar who is the other player mentioned in the daily telegraph article because what if it's not and it was Monty? There aren't many that fit the criteria and worse it said at least one other.

I believe in the youth but you need strong experienced guys to cover there mistakes and show them the way.

Hope it doesn't destabilise our good start and as someone mentioned replicate a certain shit team just a little north of us from last year.

I don't think it's Monty. It's just a guess but I would think Monty is chasing permanent residency and a smooth, quiet time at CCM would be just what he wants.

Speculative article suggesting Monty dobbed him in for saying.

Wait for it......

Moss was a better coach.

So he's back on the drink then.
