ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The recruitment this year and last reminds me of our 2008-10 period when we cheaped out and paid the price.

I'm holding out hope that TW's European adventure bears fruit. If nothing comes of the Everton link I will be disappointed - though not surprised. If we get hold of 3 1st choice HAL players (though not yet EPL players) we might well be saying what a great off-season.

The most preferable scenario (fantasy) would be to have all the players we need signed by now.
That would give our "Evertonian" friends time to settle in a new country before training starts in 1-2 weeks.
It also gives Monty & the senior players time to show them around & make them feel welcome.
Then when training starts all the players are on the same footing & heading in the same direction.

Back in the old days we called that "Planning" now we call it "Dreaming"

It would also be nice to be prepared for the FFA Cup just a few weeks away.
I hope the club gives that comp a good shake.

According to Soccer Stoppage time(who aren't always right, but more often than not are), young Aussie CB Callum Richardson returning home from Burnley. Interest from 2 A league clubs, would be surprised if we aren't one of them. "Ball playing CB in the mould of Trent Sainsbury". 19 years old, potential, cheap, we need 2 CB's at least.

Petkovic just left Sydney back to Europe. So they would be interested as well.

I would love him back but not sure it will be us. Will be fairly expensive and doesn't really play in a position we are desperate needing. I hope i'm wrong though.
The perfect replacement for John Hutchinson who we have replaced, so far, with a teenager.
Still, I will believe it when I see it

I was chatting to Oli at Erina Fair on Sunday so is definitely on the Coast, no doubt spending time with family. He seemed quite relaxed about his future. Would obviously love him here. I really want to see him in Russia 2018 so am happy for him to go somewhere he is getting lots of games at a good level. If we did pick him up e.g. Aus Marquee, which position would you all have him in? Has played across midfield so DM, AM, Left side all options, even possibly up front.

Not a new squad member but looks like we have a new Strength and conditioning coach. Bruce Johnson. Has a rugby league background. Worked for 2 years at the roosters. Apparently was a professional sprinter back in the day too. Will be interesting to see how his experience will be implemented in the football sense.

@BriceJohnsonCCM: I AM IN! Excited & proud to be a part of @ccmariners. Can't wait to get to work with @TonyWalmsley, staff & team. #AreYouIn
