ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

So, Omar Abdulrahman looks handy... Reckon we could scrounge up a couple of million Euros and maybe trade him for Triff? (I like Triffiro btw, just think I'd like Abdulrahman better ;) ) you're all saying we need a #10

Omar is quality. A passing game second to none in the Asian Cup imo. Like you imply, we couldn't afford him... not after his efforts of the past couple of weeks. Surely he's put himself front and centre in the shop window and it will only be a matter of time before the big offers come his way.

He's destined for great things i think. The weight of his passes was just unbelievable, top shelf. As for a #10 i wouldn't have been upset to see us make a play for Saba.

Omar or any other AM would also struggle to play as a 10 in the present mariner's team. He would starve to death waiting to get properly served by our defenders and midfielders (except Cac) and he's not the type of player that would chase or fight for ball possession.
We've got our own Omar in Caceres. Don't waste the money we don't have on a number 10 when we have good or better options already available. Lets get two decent CBs and that will solve 70% of our problems.

From that article this little gem:
"Cahill said he had talks with Sydney FC officials "but as far as offers, there was nothing".

Arnie's purse isn't quite big enough, eh? :piralaugh:

Cahill looking for an offer than includes more than just football. We would have been the perfect place as we can offer that but we just lack the funds. Oh well.

I said it over a year ago that he would be the only marquee to do the job of increasing our crowds in that way. Such a shame nobody had the foresight to put in motion some type of offer. Even just finding out what it would take. Sanitarium is only just up the road too.

Thing is, Cahill has been adamant, as late as last year, that he wasn't going to be playing in the A-league.
So it was a bit funny to hear the shock-horror on the radio today, that he didn't receive an offer from anyone in the A-league and that he was delighted to be playing in a developing league now...

He needs to make up his mind I think... would've been happy to see him play in blue-yellow though :D
