Has Trifiro as ? - He was re-signed over Flores
Has Kim as ? - He is on 2 yr deal

So forget that someone knows what we don't - It's purely someones uneducated guess (Being SFC thats a given).

It's actually a Brisbane fan, but there are understandably things they don't necessarily know in the same way we do.

It is shaping as a big season for Duke; he must prove himself as a goalscorer not just a bloke who runs around a lot. We need him to score goals if we are to continue to challenge for honours; he needs to score goals to play for the Socceroos in the Asian Championship. As for Bernie, if his touch isn't better than Halloran's then I am missing something.

Halloran looked rubbish....and an arrogant prick for someone with so little talent.

Bernie is a better player.

Caceres and Roux have signed on until the end of 2016/17, while Duke's signed on until the end of 2015/16:

This is also encouraging:

“We will be adding two to three new players before the start of the season, and one of those players will be a striker,” he explained. "The hunt for another number nine is a global one, and we're considering options from all corners of the football world."

Hardly worth the effort required to type that to be honest.

Instead of posting an inane comment, tell us what you think of the re-signings?
They are very good and lock up some of our best talent and in the event of departure will likely result in coin for us.

I am still hopeful of 1 (one) new signing, specifically a striker, but apart form that we don't NEED anybody. I am hopeful this season we will gell and play better than the last. I am always hopeful. God bless that yellow football team.

Considering everything that has gone on, it's quite an entertaining post & well worth the effort IMO.
We'll have to agree to disagree. What's being implied by saying Moss thinks the earth is flat? Is it that he is ancient? His football philosophy predates Pythagorus? Or is it, as I expect, a simple observation that a sphere doesn't have four corners? If it's the latter, then I stand by my original comment.

Very happy with this. All 3 have potential to play at a much higher level and could well be international players (Storm is already). I like the way we are shaping up, from Mossy's comments we are still looking for 2 or 3 players one of which would have to be a reserve keeper and also another striker. He did also state that several current players will be like new signings which i have thought would be the case. Neill, Morton, Boz, Kim, Cernak, Sim and Trifiro at the very least were either signed late on without a pre-season, injured or had a lack of match practice. We have alot of young guys that will continue to improve, Ando, Storm, Dukey, Caceres,Fitzy, should all be considerably better players next year. Rose,Curran and Kalik look exciting young talents and hopefully one of those breaks through. Mossy, Sully and co will also enter this season with last years experience under their belt and have had a chance to shape thing the way they will have wanted. We'll go well again i think. It's easy to get distracted by what is happening with signings at other clubs, Melb City in particular but we are not that sort of club and i like the way we operate. :)

The more recent signings will benefit enormously from having a full pre-season.

Pre-season is where we get to reset our basic structures and patterns of play, everyone gets to know each other's game, but they'll also get to know each other as blokes away from week-in-week out games and spotlight and hotels and media enquiries and bullshit.

The teammates they barely know will become mates who will fight for them and who they don't want to let down. The building of a team rather than the assortment of hastily collected bodies sufficient to finish the season.

This is where Moss earns his money. Once we're in season, there are scant opportunities to make improvements or drastic changes. He's got to have them ready for action in October and once we're rolling it doesn't stop til May.

If we're adding in some more talent, great, but for my money it's all in Moss's hands: a blank canvas, a refreshed squad and a full pre-season all of his own.

To finish 3rd last year with the crap we went through last year. We should be good for a top 2 finish. Unless everyone picks up their game.
We be very interesting to see what Moss can do with a full preseason and a settled squad. Will also be interesting what style of play we with attempt to implement.

Just great to see the rumor was true & they are indeed resigned.

If we had signed these 3 from other clubs we'd be very excited, but because we are already aware & have the privileged to watch them it's excellent to see them extended. 3 young skillful & very important parts of our future secured.

While a quite off season it's still a good one.

As usual we gloss over the fact we were shit for most of the year and that 2 players stopped (reddy and bernie) us coming in the bottom 2 or 3. Also we were the most negative team in the comp and played the least attractive football.

Having said that we do have a good base but we need a second keeper. A quality centre back. A dynamic 10 (kallic?) and a striker (if we play a formation that gets us out of our own half occasionally!).

To be excited by Neill, Morton, Sim and Cernak is very very worrying when our opponents are signing Villa, Lampard, Moey and Hersi.
