ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners squad HAL 10 ~ 2014/15

Seems like the Aerial Shits (Sky Poos is too nice a name for such a dump of a club) want to turn HAL into an EPL clone - a handful of rich clubs with little local content and the rest of the clubs with no chance of winning and just fighting to not finish last. One of the reasons I don't follow EPL & the other similar leagues.

the sky poos have this obsession with 1 useless marquee player instead of developing a young player for the world cup like we do
I must say I wouldn't call Timmy a "useless marquee", but I agree with the sentiment.
I also don't think Timmy at the Aerial Shits will be good for the A-League either. Timmy would be good, but not at the dump club.

Timmy would be best utilised (for the A-League) at a big city club with a lot of exposure. One of the Sydneys or Melbournes.

I do not like how Sky Poo do business, but it has been effective at generating interest in the A-League (del Piero specifically). I just like that our way of doing things provides a more consistent way to create a competitive team, so they can continue throwing money on big names to generate big crowds for all I care as long we are still competitive doing our thing.

Let me be Devil's Advocate. Look at Mark Milligan or David Carney, for example. Both came to Sydney FC as young talents and left as Socceroos.

Not sure of the details just got told he has set the lawyers onto CCF. When I find out I will post on here. But I might not know anymore until after the clubs meeting in July.
Priorpeter backs up what you are saying with a post in the central coast football section.

Yeah.....I noticed the signings rolling in while we sit here listening to crickets.

There will be something good for us, just have to wait.

Most of the clubs doing all the buying (Perth, Melb city, Sydney FC, Phoenix) are all clubs that need major changes. We are maybe the most settled side this year for a change. I think we maybe need 2 outfield signings as long as WeeMac comes back, plus a keeper. I think our squad is a little underestimated especially within our own fans. I would put half of our current 1st team players in the top 3 in their pozzies in the league. Reddy, Storm, Rosey, Monty, Wee Mac(if back), Dukey. I also believe we will see much more of Boz, Kim, Caceres, Ando, Fitzy, Matty and Trif next season. We will add a couple more quality players and there is bound to be another 3 or 4 quality kids coming through. It's not all doom and gloom just because not much is happening. :)

Fair enough LP...fair enough
Not to say I don't want to see a couple of quality players come in because I do, and if we are to finish top 4 again we will probably need it. Clinical striker would be great and a right sided middy. Someone who can generate some excitement and get memberships moving would be awesome. :)

Yeah, I'm sort of in that space too... It's hard to watch the other teams sign away and not have anything coming from us, but I also am not exactly sure about the situation around the CAP and what spaces we actually do have vs what we think we have.
Maybe the whole WeeMac to Welly thing was really a ruse... They'll leave the insecurity festuring, then have him do an interview in a couple of weeks, talking openly and honestly about how excited he is to return to Gosford, "accidentallly" letting slip that he has indeed been released early, for the start of our season... Everyone'll get all excited 'cos it'll be like a new super-signing and the team doesn't have to find room for another player... Yes... That's what's really happening... FFA and Welnux were in on it all along!... That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
On top of that, I'm sure Duke's spent every day at the shooting range and so, he'll hit the target every time, next season! :))))

Well, it certainly won't be added to the salary cap as that is covered by FFA unless, ROFL, we go for a marquee.
Perhaps it will be used to bring down the figure for desired break even crowd at Bluey;
or put on a luxury door-to-door limo for the handful who will trek to Brookvale :innocent:

I will be watching for a big reaction from Duke. He was ahead of Taggart before the start of the season and had even scored for the socceroos. If he had of fired in season 9 it could have been him at the world cup and going to the EPL
