ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

That's fine and I hope you're right, My source just said otherwise and they havent been wrong in the past.
Bummer. You were right Huddo. I can only think something was lost in translation or things moved quickly today? ....but I'm gutted to see him go. He told me last year would be his last here.....but I thought Covid and his love for the coast had softened his will.
He was a class above but if I'm being pragmatic he was on the wane slightly so he can be replaced but the fan boy in me is not happy.
Buena suerte mi amigo.

Edit..... Marco would have stayed so I think we can expect some exciting announcements soon. Certainly proved Monty has the hard edge that will take us to the top.
Wow.... So he was actively convinced to go home for family reasons...? Harsh

Challenge now with so many senior players going and those players that guide and direct the younger players....

Departures:
- Nicolai Muller (Headed back to Germany)
- Oliver Bozanic (Joined Western Sydney Wanderers)
- Noah Smith (Joined Melbourne Victory)
- Ruon Tongyik (Rumoured to be chased by 3 A-League clubs)
- Lewis Miller (Was joining Macarthur FC until he terminated that contracted and joined Scottish club Hibernian FC)
- Kye Rowles (Joined Scottish club Hearts FC)
- Mark Birighitti (Joined Scottish club Dundee United)
- Marcus Urena ( left for home)

The bolded players would have been on decent money, and also where the body of the club in guiding the younger players...

Add to this an increase in funding from the new owner, plus also the transfer fees for Rowles & Birghitti..

Signings to date:

- Michael Ruhs (from Macarthur FC)
- Thomas Aquilina (from Western Sydney Wanderers)
- Sam Silvera (on a 3 year deal)
- Paul Ayongo (The 25 year old Ghanaian forward is signed on a two year deal)

My guess is only Paul Ayongo is on top money...

Meaning

We have a war chest the kind I guess we have never had...... further we need some of the newer players to also fill those guidance roles that those who have left brought the club...

As always if its obvious to us... it must also be obvious to the club....

Big test for Monty in rebuilding a team.... many coaches fail at this...
Muller was a long way from top money (and probably justified his wage tbh).
