ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners Squad - 2020-2021

While I agree with that - the problem he had was that when he did it he was the deepest of our midfielders and the opposition were on us in an instant. I get frustrated when our wingers put in a poor pass which is all Stens is doing. Football is a simple game, concentration and technique only needs to be combined for short periods of time for a player to have a great game. However, players tend to treat each of the 90 minutes the same and mentally fatigue. The recognition of the need for heightened concentration on your technique at key times can be the difference between an average player and a very good player. That goes as much for Stens as it does to wingers providing crosses, strikers taking shots and all other players.

Thats a cold hard fact of Football.... a striker can make heaps of mistakes... poor passes poor tackles .... he is forgiven if he scores goals and the rest is not his job...

But a keeper is allowed less than a handful of errors a year ... a deep sitting holding mid ... acceptable mistake rate is 1 every say two to three games .... a holding centre back maybe two or three a year...

Deep sitting holding mids ... are not expected to give the ball away ... as it often leads to goals being scored against you...

What an absolute stitch up
Don’t buy into it lads, that page has got plenty wrong before and basically just posts quotes from actual news sights. Only with this Ziggy “rumour” there’s no paper trail

I would be devastated if Ziggy left but absolutely feckin furious if he went to the WSW! Can’t that stupid club sign their own players and coach, it’s a big wide football world out there, do some hone work and find your own players!! I thought it was a very low act poaching the Jets coach when they were down and out but I will be equally disappointed in Ziggy if he’s tempted by that club...

Ray Gatt saying we are looking at a swap deal with the Wanderers but can't afford the wages of the player we want to swap for.

In this hypothetical scenario, if it happens I’d love to see staj and Shaun come out and absolutely blast Ziggy and the wanderers. This would ruin anything the club has attempted to do.

I repeat, don’t buy into it.

Gatt was lending weight to it being legitimate on Twitter so maybe not without any basis. Whether we have the $ to get a player we want and have it come to fruition I’m not so sure.

Why would they blast those two when the Mariners can’t pay his wage and are involved in the swap deal? if Gatty is on the money and he mostly is.

Explains Ziggy’s absence in the trial game against APIA.

him saying it’s a swap turned my head.
But we need another defender on top of already having Ziggy? So common sense tells you no matter what player we get in return, we would still need another defender and that’s now 2 more players to integrate into the squad a week out from the first game.
the whole thing is (and I don’t mean to offend anyone) retarded

If it were a swap deal I would be expecting a CB to be our target. Ziggy can play CB but he’s not a specialist, Ziegler perhaps but $$$, maybe McGowan. That would leave Rowles or Tongyik in CB as well. Nigro likely drops in to RB.
