Staj returns next Tuesday so I'm not expecting to hear a lot in terms of player movements until then. Don't see any reason we can't release the releas-ables though

The Mariners haven't offered Tom a contract

Pain is contracted until the end of this month. Aspro and Millar are gone.
Surprised that Aiden is still here.

Tom has not been offered a new contract. Jem was offered a contract but apparently is was a pisstake and what not you would pay a visa player so he has gone.

As usual well played by Shaun and Pikey................muppets!
Disappointing to hear that we low balled Jem, if it wasn't at the same level we payed to get him out here then that is disgraceful. As we have seen it is hard to get Visa players right, having at least one guaranteed performing visa player is invaluable.

80 goals in 83 games is a good rate of return.
We do have Murray though.
I like to think that with a coach who actually knows what he is doing, and who chose to extend Murray, that we have a coach who knows how to deploy him and coach the best out of him. I do think Murray has it in him to be quite successful at this level with the right team and coach.
I'd like to play 2 up front with a 1st choice quality striker and maybe this wolves guy on the bench.
Muz showed when hes played as the primary striker he is HAL quality. Matty steals ball from him tho.

The new NPL striker can take Gamerio’s spot.

Also
Essentially taking Murray spot in the way we picked Murray hoping he’d cut it. He has so has moved further up the team peking order leaving his hope a NPL player is good enough spot available in the squad

If that Jem news is correct, I’m not overly surprised but I am overly f**king angry about it.
Can’t blame the bloke.
And what’s that.... the 12th time we’ve low balled a good player?

“The coach will have the resources available to build a competitive team”
No mike, no he won’t. c**t

If Tom & Jem are gone and we are looking at an NPL player as one of our visa players, to add to weeMack's visa position... thats not what I wanta hear.

Its impossible to make judgements calls this early on as we have signed very few and the squad we have to date is essentially the bench I would assume.

Mark Ruden at the Nix faced a similar issue when he started last season, further Rudan took a long time to put his squad together so there is something in making sure you get the squad right.

However a key difference was the Nix's came out and said what they planned reasonably early.

My assumption is we are facing a lost of license if we have another poor season with Canberra & the Gong willing an able to take our place, meaning we should put our strongest squad in years on the field. But it's Charesworth and who knows what he is thinking.

In all this we need leadership, we don't need speeches you gotta get behind us otherwise, nor we have to be united etc... all that has been done over the last two years in particular... this time club management needs to COMMAND respect rather than DEMAND respect ... essentially come out and say what the plans are, what the budget is, etc. Mostly we need to hear its local management and not every major decision on player selection and club plans be pre approved in England especially by EPL folk who cannot with the best will in the world understand the Australian sporting environment.

Hand on heart not the other thing on what we are bringing to Hal today, we don't deserve our place. Even allowing for the bias media we have pushed the limits of under preforming and with new media deals coming up, and national sponsorship's etc we no longer bring to the table any reasons why we important if anything we are dragging Hal down.

It hurts to say the above, but its true, and for these reasons I assume the club will move heaven and earth if for no other reason than to keep our license.

To this end we need leadership to say whats going on,

We are after him allegedly
You're quite right by the looks

Unable to come to terms with the Newcastle Jets over a contract extension - with triggers for a second year the apparent sticking point - the 33-year-old’s sudden availability has the likes of Brisbane Roar, Western Sydney Wanderers, Adelaide United and former club Central Coast Mariners scrambling for his signature.

One thing in all this, we and others need to stop the rhetoric about dumping teams. you cant run a comp if youre prepared to dump teams with regular occurence. theres not enough space and fan interest in melbourne and sydney to have 6 or 7 teams each there.
HAL needs small market teams and FFA/new structure needs to support shit teams to not be shit, rather than buying mvc/sfc flags.
christ, the cleveland browns have been shit for a generation and their fans have taken it to new levels of owning it.

Specifically - It’s understood Adelaide’s on loan striker Jordy Thomassen’s representatives are interested in getting the Dutchman to Central Coast Mariners next season.

JP. We didnt pay him to come out here. He paid himself and we gave him minimum wage. It was a trial to prove his worth.
He proved his worth and we have dogged him.

This is more of the usual bullshit from Pikey and his lap dog Shaun.

Gameiro was at training. He did ok but looks very low on confidence.

I'm an idiot savant without the pesky savant bit
So the Muppet brothers low balled Jem...why aint we surprised
Time for Shaun to stay the f**k away from player negotiations

All these early transfer rumours aren’t filling me with a whole lot of confidence.

Yeah, Staj’s attention to detail etc etc will help. But if we don’t have quality replacing the shit. There’s only so much that can change.

I’m 50/50 on Roy coming back. I was angry he went to the jets, very f**king angry. But I also could understand why. It’s probably the most he’s ever been paid in his journeyman career. So if they couldn’t match his demands on a renewal then how can we? Unless the scum really are cutting the wage bill in half. The flip side with Roy is, you know he will be extremely professional and he will score atleast 10. Even without great service.

That Duncan kid looked alright in the few games he featured in but what will his role be? Is that goodbye to nizzy?

Thomasen looked very average for Adelaide who are miles ahead of us. Plenty of service available to strikers there. And he still struggled. Unless it was all adaption issues coming from a January move.

Jair has pedigree but has been woefully inconsistent.

None of that matters though if the f**king people in charge aren’t putting serious offers to very good players already on our books.
