ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Their is suppose to be a Ch 9, doco coming out in June / July about how Julia came to power.... if I where a betting person and polls are still down that is when K 07 will make his move ...

From left of field ...Bob Carr maybe asked after the doco ... he will loose ... but if the polls fall any further it becomes a nightmare for the country as the ALP could be wipped out and having a weak opposition always leads to over time poor government ... see the last NSW ALP & QLD under Joe .... creates concerns long term given the hold the Libs have on NSW & QLD ... you need a strong opposition... and it is not the greens...

Just on the Greens love this from Joe Hildebrand

???????? Have they budgetted for Kevin to be PM?
Enlighten me more please.
no one will make a leadership change after the budget.
but gillard is gone . if labor loses and the libs get both houses.then
you'll be lucky if you ever get another free and fair election.

i hope his first act as alp leader is to return the nsw right to the liberal party
So in Macquarie St you're sending at least 13 MLAs to the Libs (reducing us to about 7 members of the Legislative Assembly, bumping them up to about 64 out of 93).

You're also sending 7 MLCs (reducing us to 6 members of the Legislative Council, bumping them up to about 19 out of 42, which when added to the 7 Nats gives them 26/42 and a comfortable working majority).

In Canberra, you're sending 14 MHRs over to the Libs, putting the Coalition on 86 votes and a bigger majority than Kevin Rudd won in 2007, and you're bumping the Coalition up to 37 Senators, leaving them needing only 2 votes for a working majority (and needing only one to be able to block anything they like). Madigan (DLP) and Xenophon would have a field day.

So in short, sending the NSW Right to the Libs is a brilliant idea if your aim is to basically ensure Labor would never again hold power in NSW or federally.

the left should have crossed the floor in nsw and voted a no confidence against the then government .
10 years ago .crooked bastards like rosentol, egan, costa and Co have sold the party out for years.
they have effectively destroyed the labor party.
i expect the next centre left government to be elected (if we still live in a democracy)
will be a conglomeration of the labor left ,nationals and the net groups such as get up.
it won't be the labor party

There are individuals in the NSW Right who should have been purged years ago. But that's very different to saying that carving off more than half the Party is even remotely sensible.

the nationals are tiny and slowly dying off. their brand of agrarian socialism is more about protecting farmers than workers, and fundamentally relies on trickle-down economics - if the squattocracy stays comfortably wealthy everyone benefits. they're happiest when they can capitalise the gains and socialise the losses. f**k that with a pointed stick.

the ALP is much closer to rural indies like Windsor and Oakeshott, but I'd take a Labor endorsed candidate over one of them any day of the week.

for all the doom and gloom, as recently as 2007 Labor was in power in every state, every territory and in Canberra. people were saying that the next Liberal PM (if there would every be another) would not yet be in the parliament, such was the devastation. in NSW the Labor Government suffered a swing of just 3% and lost just 3 seats of its crushing majority to the coalition and consigned the Liberals to a fourth term in the wildersness.

Labor is now looking like they'll almost certainly lose this election, but that doesn't mean they're going to disappear, or that whole swathes of the party need to be annihilated.

Labor needs internal reform, but fundamentally Labor is still a good party doing good things for the community.

the difference between our approaches for curing the Party's ills is that I'd propose surgery, you're proposing cremation.

I thought it might be that one that style_cafe was referring to. Shame it has been put off till 2014, and is a defamation case against Kroger & the Australian newspaper, not Tony Abbott.

Enlighten us ... what court case would that be?
The case where David Ettridge is suing Tony Abbott for $1.75million for Abbotts dealings with destroying the ONE NATION PARTY & using his ministial position to put pressure on the QLD Electoral Office, plus a raft of other things which may see Abbott end up behind bars .
This one hasn`t hit the papers yet (MSM are a bit slow with items that show Abbott in a bad Light) but i`ve read the draft submission to the court & it looks pretty good!!!

joe's gone WAAAAAAAAYYYYY OTT there.

the greens are in large part self-centred and more keen on broad sweeping gestures than practicality.

see urban policy: stop clearfelling urban fringes, down with mcmansions, up with public transport, down with urban consolidation, preserve the character of existing suburbs.

or take airports - close kingsford smith, oppose the two other practical options (wilton and badgery's creek).

or roads - down with motorways, improve public transport, keep trucks out of our towns but do nothing to support rail freight...

some (read: lots) of their positions are internally inconsistent, and work better as slogans than policies.

but that doesn't excuse simple abuse, which is the territory into which hildebrand strays.

the problem wasn't dealt with years ago . the only reason people know of
obeid is the sheer arrogance and laziness of the guy. left wing figures in the labor
party have been complaining about these crooks for 25 years in some cases.
the old labor party is nearly gone .go to any branch meeting there a bunch of geriatrics ,thats it.

the likes of obied, costa, egan, that f**k'n thief and slimy $%^# rag rosentol. only got there by
getting put there by weak as piss unions , like the medical services. that are basically a cleaners union . representing some of the lowest educated people in the country while paying themselves salaries of 350k +

the base of the labor party has almost disappeared . some blood on the floor years ago. Would have kick started something.
instead of that you look at our front bench (well of last week anyway)
like the liberal party there all f**king lawyers and economists.
not one engineer, scientist, doctor.

as for windsor .his integrity has stood the test of time.
the likes of katter are pro-australian .he has an issue with %80 of the profits from mining going overseas. he has a point.

i think your seeing it in terms of a 2007 labor party.
murdoch now controls the newspapers and fox tv (thats 1 million australians) normal fox has no ABC 24
murdoch junior has ten, gina vision has another.
whats left of unions will be put through a form of McCarthyism

the birds probably flown .
do you think we’ll get another free and fair election?
