ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

We can only hope ... and of course Dullard is denying she knew of his impending arrest before she called the election date. This and the Obeid drama only reinforces the image of Labor being rotten to the core.

I reckon there's a lot of hookers out there hoping labour gets voted out. ;)
Channel some of those union fees back into the industry.

Read a report during the drought .... the Australian government did a heap of research on where we should live... a one line summary of a ten million page [could be a tad over on my page count] report was ... the water and good soil is in Northern Australia ... long term we need to move to the north ....

Tony A's idea about moving jobs and moving things to the north has a lot of merit [that's what the report said anyway]

Maybe you don't like the guy nor his party ... me I swing and by and large are loyal to neither... but the report I refereed too was huge nay mega nay mega squared ... it was done a fair time ago maybe 7 years maybe more.... the drought was near it worst at the time... essentially the report said we need to populate where their is good water and good soils .. they are in Northern Australia and given there is not much there it suggested the government would need to kick start the move and take various measures ...

You can say that TA is a policy and forward think free zone ... but this idea of where to move our population over the next 50 or so years is worth talking about ... or maybe like Sydney's second airport just to hard...

Can't do it, full stop. Constitution (S.99) prohibits any preferential treatment of States or parts of States.

Also, reduced taxes for the north doesn't mean that the overall tax burden can be lighter. It doesn't mean that cost of provision of government services drops (probably the reverse, if anything - new hospitals, schools, roads, water, sewage, electricity infrastructure...) so that just means that those getting a discount need to have their discount funded by those of us who stay in the south.

Do we want to slug everyone living in the south to fund the development of the north, while those moving north are given discounts and the Gina Rineharts of the country make squillions?

f**k that with a pointed stick.

It's a brainfart that if it came from a work experience kid in Abbott's office should have been met with a slap upside the head and an order to go read the constitution and write a 1,500 word essay on why it's a f**king stupid idea.

But instead it seems to have come from somewhere more serious than a work experience kid and it has been shopped around Liberal State premiers, indicating they're even dumber than I'd previously given them credit for.

Maybe your right BUT maybe it is a discussion we need to have and throw heaps of thoughts up in the air .... just saying we are a very dry country but in northern Australia in parts we have plenty of rain and I am lead to believe good soils ... but roads... airports ... power .... jobs.... etc .... how do we get theses their ... do we need them there .. whatever ... bit shallow if for once in his life he comes out with something worth discussing and we say brainfart .... me thinks it is a discussion as a nation we need to have ...

Just on that Northern Australia thing .... a friend told me that there is 17.8 million hectares of farmland that can be used to grow crops and graze animals [jets players not included] ... today we have 2.5 million hectares under crow in Australia...

There's a strong case to suggest there is a large quantity of dope in the house.

Mumbles .....that's cruel...

Wonders aloud if the west can be won ... i.e. JG staying in Rooty Hill .... maybe the name says what is happening to the ALP if the polls hold true... :(
