ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Everyone's already heard all the stories and decided who they'll believe. It's like everyone already knows about the carbon tax, everybody knows about the surplus, everybody knows about boats - all the votes that have moved around because of any of those issues have moved already. In financial terms, the information is contained in the market price already.

I think the story is all over the other side of the aisle - the Libs have tolerated Abbott so far because it looked like if they followed him they'd simply stroll to victory. Now that it's clear that they've at the very least got a tough fight on their hands, what do they do?

Do they stick with one trick Tony, the boxer whose impressive looking but easily blocked big right has been found sorely wanting against a stout defence, or do they find someone who has a little bit of subtlety and nuance to their ring-skills?

"Township fights plague of rats. Residents offered free mobile phone for every 60 rodents caught."

Saw this headline in the SMH today and for some reason immediately thought it was Canberra.

What's your tho's on MT ....

Just another Liberal.

He's a bit smarter than Tony, but not smart enough to make Not Being A Complete Fascist appear different enough to Not Being A Raving Socialist for the liking of some of the loonier segments of the Liberal backbench.

Not quite Julia & Tony ... but loved this tweet... from someone in the US..

Since conservatives don't believe in global warming when will they admit God caused Hurricane Sandy because he wanted Obama to win.

This comment from a reader appeared on the Atlantic Wire website, beneath an article on how Conservative pundits got their predictions so wrong. Love it!

Can't imagine Julia instigating or planning any of these slush fund accusations. You need to expose the real puppeteer.

Unions, organized crime
Potato, potarto!

Is that a clip of the real Julia, or the new Julia, or the new real Julia, or the new new Julia, or the real real Julia or is it just a joke, much like every other clip she does? Sorry, but she comes across as the biggest bogan ever, and you can never believe a word she spouts. In fact her spoof on the end-of-the-world actually has more credibility than most of the other stuff she spouts. She is gone next year, and you can contact me if you like and bet against it.

Starting to think that TA could struggle to win an election ... he needs to broaden what he does and what he stands for... can't see the libs replacing him but he could be the ALP's best asset going into the election... as for Julia almost as unelectable .... wonders aloud but doubts it will happen that the libs put Malcolm in the middle in charge again...

Been through several recessions over the past 28 years of employment. I think the one sitting on our horizon that no one is willing to acknowledge is possibly filled with the greatest uncertainty. Mining boom is over, retail industry is terminal, manufacturing is all but dead, timber industry crippled by greenies, agriculture competing with cheap imports while being screwed by supermarket monopolies. If the USA economy finally drives over the fiscal cliff our dollar will rise further and kill off what's left of our export market which means we need to look internally for income or weaken to the overwhelming argument to go offshore and import from developing countries. The end result is an unemployment blow out and a small minority making super profits. Sounds a lot like the USA where 1% of the population pockets 99% of the nations wealth and the end of the middle class.
Obviously I'm no political or financial expert but I smell trouble in 2013.

Neither Gillard or Abbott are worthy of developing a strategy to ensure our nations independence. Let alone implementing one.
Shits me that no one intelligent wants to take this on.

Actually have read some analysis that says falling over the cliff is the very thing the US needs... they will raise tax and cut government spending .... and almost overnight have the government in surplus... the government not chasing money frees up a lot of things and means the US does not need China to give them money...

China is adjusting its economy from being dependent on US & European demand to internal demand...

If I have learned one thing in life ... the US & Chinese are both good at reinventing themselves...

What the world needs is someone to invent that everyone wants ...

So good old Dullard has done a runner & left the Goose to tell people there will be no golden egg, only a real egg all over his smirking face. It was always a political & not an economic 'promise' and the Goose & his cohorts have been left wanting yet again in the credibility stakes.

Does this mean Swany's taken Back in black off his song list?

Better to man up now than bull shit to people for another 6 months. I give him credit for that.
But I suspect it's justification for not delivering other promises like company tax cuts and relief for small businesses.
