ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Home Grand Final - how to get early access member tickets!

Was exactly how it was for the jets GF. Members were allowed 10 tickets per membership.

It's lunacy that I could have purchased 24 tickets with a 3 person membership (I only purchased my discounted 3 tickets).

I know right. At the time I could have purchased 80. But, Sydney was never going to sell out so was just a good incentive to try and get as many coasties down there as possible. But this is completely different. It was always going to sell out. For mine an extra 2 or at most 4 would have been fine. A lot of people on the coast would love to go, some who may have even followed the Mariners since kids will miss out. Not all can be rusted on members or be the friends of members.

We've been around long enough now that we have Kids whose childhoods are full of memories of going with their parents for years. Then they get older, move away for work or uni etc, so don't have a membership anymore but still love the mariners. But won't be able to get tickets. Meanwhile, you know there's an SFC fan right now, whose probably just been able to buy an additional 80 tickets that they're planning to scalp.

I also know two, both young men now, been going since they were boys. One lost his father to cancer a few years ago who he used to go to all the games with. Both are hard working but both also represent Australia competitively around the world in their sport, and it costs them a lot to do so, so they're always struggling to make ends meet and raise funds. They were really excited and asked if they could come. Told them the price and they were shocked and said sorry they couldn't go. I just bought them a ticket anyway - will be a nice surprise. Just a shame we couldn't get good seats even buying for foundation members at 9am when sales open.

there has to be a better way than this mad scramble with people getting f**ked over all over the place
if you want to have a group together it's either all in the same row or you risk it trying multiple bookings - maybe end up with something on the opposite side of the ground, maybe nothing
I guess ticketek doesnt care, as long as all the tickets sell
Exactly. Kind of defeats the purpose of having extra tickets for members if you can't even sit together. Only scalpers don't give a shit about sitting together.

Damn. I've contacted the Club to see if they can help, but They'll be rushed off their feet, so not expecting a quick reply.

If anyone can spare one ticket anywhere, I can prove I'm a member and season ticket holder. Not trying to scam a ticket I'm not entitled to.

Celery. I have one not confirmed. If the club can't look after you, let me know. Don't want you to miss out mate.

It is wild how many people get to the gate and can't scan their ticket, hold the line up and all they had to bloody do was:

1 - aim the barcode at the scanner
2 - turn the damn phone brightness up
At the semi final the Smurf numpty in front of me got to the scanner and realised he'd turned his phone off. Stood blocking everyone while he waited for his phone to start. The gate monitor 'politely' told him to stand aside and let the less-thick fans through. :)

As I was entering from the hand-held scanner line a group of about 5 got to the front and then pulled out there phone and discovered they were having a problem.
They all clustered around the person with the phone, blocking three queues for a moment. Then stepped aside to only block two. They pulled one of the staff with a scanner to try to get them to provide tech support, who gave them far too much of her time, and also asked her colleague for help.

It must be said, the old CC Stadium feels noticeably more dated when there are larger crowds, especially after having visited the shiny new Allianz stadium a week prior.
Having people queued for booze blocking entry to bays opposite people queues for loos can quickly reduce everything down to single-file. Anyone stopping for a chat is so much worse when it's so narrow.

Love the stadium, of course, just an observation.

100%
Councils complete lack of investment really hits home when there is any sort of crowd.
Old technology
Why isn't there an entrance in the middle? How hard would it be?

I often have my phone in dark mode. It reverse the QR and won't scan. So learnt to flick it to light mode and screen shot all the QRs for speedy entry
