ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

. ok, i'm back ... again:
  • club looking at 5 & 10 year rewards for members
  • street team idea from the floor was confirmed as an initiative already underway
  • any businesses wishing to display mariners fixtures should contact the club ... and/or hassle your locals into doing the same (or displaying what you get on their behalf)
  • football family on the coast estimated at 60,000 (players, ex-players and their families)
  • work on the CoE is about 3-4 months off re-starting
  • official supporters club to help build support through communications with the YA
. more community/engagement stuff:
  • in addition to the club's 5 chosen charities each player will have the opportunity to support another
  • local business expos
  • patrick's efforts to be supported by brownie and also gumpy and brad porter (it now appears this is to be in conjunction with the football school - refer separate thread)
  • considering having a fan forum further north too next year
  • 8,000 school kids visited through brownie's program ... this will increase to about 15,000 next year
  • mariners coaching clinics for the coaches - local and elite teams - mariners way, etc
. there was a lot to talk about:
  • looking at some sort of commemorative shirt if membership numbers reach their target
  • here to stay on the coast
  • mariners mailing list has been increased from about 8,000 to 15,000 with help from the ffa
  • draw has tried to allow 3 days between acl/hal games for all acl participants
. w-league:
  • 'our' w-league team was never really a mariners team ... it was a FNSW team which borrowed the mariners name for credibility
  • the mariners are currently supporting women's football through the ccf elite teams
  • ffa are re-evaluating the current w-league setup over the next 6 months
. that's about all i've got ... if you could all come to the next one it would save me typing

Just another thing I thought of that was mentioned :-
Bob Graham from Wyong council confirmed that 12 firlds were being built near the old dairy site at Wyong.
Laurie then chipped in with another 8 being built at a site in Gosford.

This should help out a lot when fixtures are washed out locally.

Another thing that the Mariner`s should have a look at, along with Beach football, wheelchair football etc. is supporting intellectually disabled football.
I had the absolute pleasure years ago of going to the trials for the Olympics for ID football.
Not only was it a great day but it showed me how wonderful this great game is when it reaches across the full spectrum of our community.

The only fields being built at the moment is at Lisarow in the old swamp opposite Lisarow high. I'm sure that is only going to consist of a cricket size oval and a u9 size pitch.

This is from the missus so no brickbats...ok? (no not Ginger or Maryanne)

If they want more people to sit in the sun on the eastern side why don`t they have nice summer type tops for the girls.Ie singlet tops, boob tubes & bikini tops in Mariners colours.
We live on the Coast & surely these a more representative of the lifestyle we live than "polo shirts".

hmmmm..she has a point there.

the only way to get more people to sit in the eastern stand is to block the sun ,on the eastern side
umm a negative photon generator.

It'd depend on a range of factors - whether you're going for retractable or fixed, whether you'd have to change anything about the pitch, whether there would be structural works required to the existing stands or whether it would be engineered as an independent structure.

Based on my calculations and incorporating assumptions for each of these factors, I arrive at the sum of eleventy billion dollars and fifty three cents.

uumm how about a rail gun firing photonic plates at the correct focal length .to block the sun
with the added bonus that the large capacitor bank required to fire the thing , could be hooked up to the away seats .
so when not required for blocking the sun .you could give the scum and tards supporters a tickle.
when you feel like it .of course a responsible person like wombat could hold the trigger.
cost ? more than my pocket money, but is that important
